I think any 17 from our squad is stronger than the Leigh 17 but still not overly confident because of our record at the LSV. Hopefullly we can burst their bubble like we did against the Cas full house last year We are better overall. We don't travel well there, like you say, and they will be well up for it. If they beat us, I don't think it'll be down the middle. We just need to ride that initial high they will have... even better if we stick a couple of early scores on them. I just hope they don't go out head hunting players like Croft and Ackers |

Really hoping Sio is fit to play, the Leigh backline is average bar two players and can be got at. Our forwards need to be solid - Lam will set down the middle.

Rowley says Sio not, sadly, and he usually plays a straight bat. But 2 world class centres , Cross not slow, Williams good on his day and Atkin can fit in there; assuming Costello left out again.
Our spine is together and as you say, it’s the pack that really needs to settle in. And Rowls seems always to have a surprise.
Strange that we have a favourites tag, unlike Cas away for the first game last season. Bring on the band.

Wingers for Leeds last night…Louis Roberts ( didn’t think he’d come thro so quickly) and the infamous Darren Olpherts, who never fails to surprise, but good we have both their breaks. Looks like Warringtons year this year😉

Yep MTR, Dereks certainly set it up, never dull, just hope we can do the same for the KR mmatch. The good thing about Derek n Marwan, for all their faults, is that they put their money in to make it happen. And we don’t want dull ‘mates’ do we😉 Hope the traffic’s ok MTR. Rowley seemed to just dismiss Sarge as long term absentee, no comeback date. Wonder if he is long term sick or it’s toys out of pram for some reason. Could do with a fit, positive Sarginson back; seems a natural 2nd row now, aka Watkins, but in the Bateman mould to me now he’s getting a bit older |

On the train JJR thankfully, you get the East Stand bouncing tonight. Our support will be hopefully around around 2,000 which is awesome.
As for Sarge its a strange one he missed most of last season. Really need him back fit.

I think you're right - it's going to be very tough for the fullbacks tonight but neither of them can be as bad as Richie Myler was last night  Leigh are a bit of a bogey team for us and they're going to be really up for it. Looking at their team, it might be aging but it's full of experience and arguably has more quality than several other Superleague teams. I fancy us to win but I don't think it will be a one-sided game by any stretch. Looking forward to it! |
