I'll gauge opinion on this one... If you think this thread should be locked, reply Yes or no. Will leave it 24 hours or so to take onboard replies. Ta Of course NO!
Either people can be grown up over someone else's posts or go to their local for a pint of what they love.
Silencing a thread because some posts annoy is Elon Muck on steroids.
Give over, be your age or go to Buxton, either we can "post anything on here" or we're Total RL. The choice is yours.

Calm down fella.
Just offering an option. I'm not bothered either way, and I'll go with the consensus.
Believe me, if I went around silencing threads because of an opposite opinion/and or annoy, there would be a lot of locked threads!
Also, the rules of the forum are on the main page so you can't 'post anything on here' and we're not Total RL...
...and yes, the choice is mine based on those rules and what the majority feel is the best interest.

Some mentions of The AJ Bell situation on the Altrincham FC forum, re us, Sale RU & Salford City, still rumours of Sale wanting back in Trafford & maybe an Altrincham FC new stadium ground share now they are full-time and have football league aspirations.
Swinton's ground share at Heywood Road is with Sale FC (RU) an entirely different organisation to Sale Sharks.

No, I am with Russ, people need to get a grip, this thread started off as a post for the greater good of keeping Salford at the AJ Bell. Personally I have put hours into this cause as have many others on here. We need a thread on the stadium as this is a defining moment in the clubs history with the stadium decision and IMG plans. Rather than get emotional and personal, which does not help anyone or the clubs cause, contributors on here need to focus on the best outcomes for the club.

Petition in and done. It's over and decision time. Maybe just start new thread Stadium News ( when we get some), draw a line under petition, ( a big) thank you to those that organised it and Maybe think of new ways to lobby and concentrate on the positive things that can be done in the future. I will buy a lottery ticket this week!!!

Just start a new one when. We have some conctrete news and stop people trying to derail all the good work the club and supporters have/are doing. Certainly not locking it to dimish the good work done, but it's become farcical with some people's posts and shouldn't be.
There's feck all news at the moment so park it until something happens

A few disagreeing individuals should not shut down a whole thread, its like a broken record at times. If you want to discuss what the Clubs board do or do not do then start a new thread. This item is solely about what happens to Salford ground wise and the outcome of the stadia bids.

Salford City Fc have released a statement.
#SalfordCity say in a club statement that after 18 months of talks, they will no longer be moving into the AJ Bell Stadium.
"We were informed in the last two weeks by Salford City Council that they will now purchase the Stadium outright and that we wouldn’t be considered"
