Total RL has just published a stat3ment from the Bradford MP looking to develop Ordsal, with Gov funding, to be th3 centre of the next RL World Cup bid and to help r3generate Bradford If somebody can download it, it would be worth sending to our MPs and the Council

Interestingly Neville has stepped down as CEO at Salford FC. Just looking at their form and the majority of FC fans seem quite relaxed about their future ground options. The challenges with Moor Lane are however acknowledged especially parking.

Just looking at the Salford Council Cabinet meetings, the one this week is cancelled which means no meetings until the end of November if the Stadium decision goes to cabinet for approval. Plus, the RL World Cup is on, that is bad PR for Salford Council if the stadium sale recommendation means we move to Moor Lane.

I ask for updates monthly - nothing back off the council though for 3-4 weeks. Also, nothing back from my MP in a while. The more fans/people that ask or back Seb Gerrard the more this cause stays front of mind with the council. They are not going to deliver bad news whilst a Rugby League World Cup is in motion. There is no justification for the council to back Sale's bid unless its massively more financially beneficially.

They have to take notice of their Citizens, nearly 11,000 people have signed the AJ Bell petition which is incredible. It does come down to money and the bids but 11,000 is a lot of Salford taxpayers.

They also have to weigh up the opportunities and benefits of having a stadium in the City, which every other city has. Pathetic really if the likes of Wigan Leigh Widnes etc have stadia and we don’t.

Agreed Salford is a city, to sell a stadium to a Sports Club from outside the city is unthinkable, for our city not to have a stadium venue is poor.

I messaged the Council at the start of the week to ask for an update - nothing back on this. I am guessing that any decisions on the AJ Bell will be made after the World Cup especially if it is that we move grounds as this creates negative PR. From expecting a decision this now feels like an issue that is running on and on.

I took my kids past Moor Lane yesterday going to Prestwich; their reaction was one of confusion why would Salford move there?? It is like going back 20 years, I then explained the situation, can't say they we're enthused about option B, here is hoping Gerrards bid comes off.

Just watching Altrincham v York the team I support….York Ground capacity just under 8000, good facilities, parking ok, and just a local Borough really. I just can’t believe our City is putting its prime sports club in a shed and that those empowered by themselves to run our Club are pushing for it.

Here we go again, empowered by themselves!well you step in and run it better!it was hardly a military coup and I dnt see anyone else bothering!as for pushing for moor lane awhile back maybe cos that’s all there was as the council and spent millions on it and let us play rent free and some years for free and were rightly due to cuts across all the important budgets wanted to get money back!since gerrard came in it’s a waiting game there not pushing for moor lane at all there waiting to see if Gerard’s offer is accepted!

LHRed to your point the club are at the mercy of the council's approval process and decision making regarding the AJ Bell. Do I trust Salford Council to do the right thing by our city No, it will come down to the offers on the AJ Bell, the council's approach to development and building expensive new builds across our city increases my nervousness that heritage and community are second fiddle to economics. JJR is right in his point that to sell out to Sale would be a disgraceful decision, they offer nothing to the City or our community, our Club does and almost 11,000 people who have signed the petition cannot be wrong. As for Moor Lane, not a chance it will be redeveloped with the land across the road protected, and houses on top of it. We go to ML we lose pretty much everything Salford is today. Still, I'll know I've done what I can for our cause to stay at the AJ Bell whatever the outcome.

Lhred are you one of the Directors? Because if you are can I remind you it’s your job to develop the Club and not sit on the sidelines waiting for things to happen.

Yes the club are at the mercy of council so jjrs point that the board are pushing for moor lane is not true!they are not pushing it was the only offer on the table awhile back as we dnt have money and the council were in talks with sale now that’s changed with gerrard bid so it’s a waiting game!
