Russ let’s face it we have about 8 well funded teams and about 8 that need extra funding, like ours for the ‘product’ to be highly competitive and more marketable like the NRL.
The product is 12-16 well funded teams playing highly competitive SL rugby. We’ve had over the past 7 years some outstanding players who we can’t hang on to and so we’re a Feeder Club, surviving…..we need to become a Cat A club so that we can maintain and develop players, as Rowley says develop a dynasty. So the pressure will be on us to develop more funding, and for me ML isn’t the answer.

No point worrying about IMG Plans, if we get CAT B we are done. The AJ Bell stadium mitigates that risk and is crucial to our growth. Moor Lane is a ticket to CAT B, time to focus the minds of Salford Council.

I live outside the Salford constituences so cannot contact my preferred MP but if any of you wish to contact MPs/Council Members could I suggest this Point to them.
Sale Sharks Limited are £30million in debt and nigh on £2million owing to the Taxman. Players are NOT `Current Assets` certainly in the RU Current Market so in all likelihood the Company is INSOLVENT. If so all Directors are Liable.
Surely it would be very dangerous for the Council/Peel to sell to the Company with such a huge debt and with HMRC hovering who at any minute could serve a Winding Up order in respect of the enormous Tax debt. If they did and the Creditors of the Company all started to issue proceedings the Council would be on very shaky ground indeed if they felt it prudent to sell to Sale Sharks Ltd.
Mr Gerrard surely should have this knowledge in his locker.

I'd expect a new company to be setup to take possession of the stadium. It's Salford FC and Sale, not just Sale. Also, even if it was Sale only, I imagine the owners would be purchasing it and keeping the stadium under another company and not under Sale itself. They'd lilely just let Sale play the for at cost

I thought it was Sale buying and Salford FC sharing
Where are Sale getting the money from? How will Salford FC pay their way eith 2000 ave gates and season ticket costing under £200? Or is it just the Neville ego trip
Sale’s last two gates ~4100and 4700. Losing big bucks each month

I've shared the Supporters Trust Letter with Salford Council, the petition, IMG Plans and the Foundation impact report shared on here which has community value running through it. Other than a massive increase in bid value for the stadium there is no way Sale or FC can add more community value to our city than our club, the unknown is if Gerrards figures match Sale's/FC's this is the variable we cannot influence. I also asked the Supporters Trust to continue to lobby hard. Moor Lanes is a disaster if it happens.

But the restructure/licence debacle is not a means for producing the the pathway up. That's just the way it's been sold.
It is simply a way of getting rid of the percieved "dead wood"!
Because of the ultimate failure to sell TGG to a wider base these are just the rehash of old tired attempts to downsize and have more money for the few clubs left. They will do much to disguise this but that's essentially its purpose.
I'll say again where's the marketing in a wider footprint that should be front and center of this project?
This just smacks of a product that doesn't believe in itself but then again many of its fans don't either,

Russ I don’t think it’s about downsizing but expansion with secure clubs.

Russ I don’t think it’s about downsizing but expansion with secure clubs. That's right JJR expansion outwards after ditching certain clubs. And I'm going to bet you don't need me to make a list for you of who will get left out one way or another along the way.
The criteria is a smoke screen for this project.

I’d be happy if there were 14-16 financially viable and proven Cat A teams in whatever is replacing SL Will we be one; yes if we stay at the AJ.

Watch for the criteria JJR.
