IMG aside we need to win the stadium battle first, stay at the AJ Bell and IMG Proposals will likely fall into place. A ticket to Moor Lane sets the club back years. This council decision is that important for our club.

K I think they’re focussing on structure and long term sustainability. The model is there in NRL but at the moment we only have about 8 teams that are in the long term sustainable. So they seem to be saying here’s what you need to do and we’ll help you; SL can then expand over the years to hopefully 15 solid sustainable Cat A teams.
They’ll then work on how you further develop RL and market it.
At the moment the RL admitted it has no strategy and if you if you went on Friday you’d see…could have got lots more there with proper marketing and organisation. Great occasion but nobody really knew what was happening. Could have filled the East Stand with regional school kids.
So ML is only the answer to leaving SL in the long term.

Read yesterday the City Mayor stating that there is a 16m deficit in fund's moving forward so I am guessing it is likely the Council will sell. We have to hope that Gerrard bids matches or is better than that of Sale/FC and that Salford people power wins out. Anyhow no mention of the AJ Bell in this week's council cabinet meeting.
Like the Supporters Trust did surely, it's time for the club to nail their colours to the mast I.E. Back Gerrard.

Strangely we’ve not heard v much from Sale/ Salford FC/and their apparent allies Peel
Presumably at some stage, these with rich businessmen backing will act.
If, in the present RU climate, Sale get the Stadium it won’t be paid by them. Wonder what they’ll do between them.

You have to think like big business where the size of the debt is just the size of your organisation and money flows on computer screens and capital is never anything to worry about or Liz trussonomics and you'll see that the stadium is an asset for the taxman to take into account.
But if you will read something called ruck.co.uk you'll only get the top of the iceberg.
You'd be much better reading the Vichy Mail or the Kick and Clap Times for a full picture of Yawn the money laundering saga.

Great stuff maurice.
The IMG focus on restructure and criteria for inclusion has all the hallmarks of jiggery-pokery and stitch up by the top clubs.
Changing the outward face of RL will not make one bit of difference to perceptions of the sport and I've seen basically nothing that shows theyve begun to address this.

So, I mailed the Council on the IMG proposals and how they may affect Salford and have had another email back. The contact at the council stated they were looking to ask the RFL for guidance on the new IMG proposals, however the critical feedback was: 'We are moving ever close to a Coscos decision on the future of the stadium which I expect in the next 4/6 weeks' We now have a small window of opportunity to push the cause, in addition to the IMG Proposals I'd urge the Salford Supporters Trust to get all over the media push the recently released Foundation Impact Report below, that's what a Community Club looks like - What will Sale/FC bring?? www.salfordreddevils.net/salford-red-devils-foundation-impact-report-2022/I'm sending the report to the Council to underline our value to the Community.

MTR great. Have you sent the reports on the vast overspending of RU clubs, the demise of two and the Financial position of Sale?

MTR great. Have you sent the reports on the vast overspending of RU clubs, the demise of two and the Financial position of Sale? No as it is for the council to do financial due diligence. Just concentrating on our Club.

Russ you have to get the product right before you can sell it The product's not the problem JJR it's the marketing and fannying around with restructures and ring fencing for the big clubs does nothing for either.
But as Jimmy Stewart says in Harvey " An element of disagreement helps the discussion move along."
