No he can't not for me. From the first defeat against Saints when he dropped some senior players till now he seems to chop and change so many players in so many positions. There hasn't been a settled side, the hingano brown pairing is one of the worst I've seen and the FB position is a lottery these days. RL is a game based on practiced plays so how can the players understand each others game when it's different personnel each week?
Then there is the disapline. The penalties and points we give away is amateur, how can a club be so ill disaplined the players have to take responsibility but the buck stops with RM to install that into them.
That squad isn't that bad I just don't think they are buying into whatever structures RM is trying to achieve and I don't see his imprint in the side after nearly a full season.
I know injuries and covid have taken its toll but do you honestly believe under any other SL coach worth his salt, we'd be this unorganised? Players want out because they are smelling a sinking ship.

Marshall has only himself to blame for the criticism he has received. Many reasons have been given for this but for me losing the respect of the players is the most important. How many really want to play for him? He's said he's having to play players out of position for the Hull game. What's new there then as he's done that when he didn't have to? He fails to convince he is a SL coach and his British signings for next season are mostly Championship quality. Good players are not being picked for whatever reason whilst others play regardless of form. I hope the rumour that players will be fined £50 for conceding penalties is just that! Now if they were fitter.....

Watson was absolute rubbish in his first few seasons i mean we were how many seconds away from relegation? I know we as fans have high standards after the past two seasons but let's be honest the quality of player then was definitely higher than it is now. You build a team through consistency which all of us know we haven't got any this year.

A lot of people said that we had a very good back line, but how often have they actually been able to play together? Sarge suspensions, Brown, Burgess and Watkins injuries, add in the Covid isolations. We have always been light on forwards this year, then we loose Lussick, Moose, injuries to Seb, Wells, Greenwood and Taylor, then again add in the covid isolations, how often have we actually been able to put out a full strength team. The back line have no platform being set for them because we have no forwards, evident in the last two games especially.

Does this performance when the pressure is mounting on Marshall’s future tell the board the players are fully behind him? Didn’t expect this result today I have to be honest.

Great result. Hope it signals a turnaround for us. A couple more results like this, please.

Indications of turning things around is when we see consistent performances. Not results, they'll come and go, but performances. Hopefully we'll start to see that, fingers crossed.

One Thing I did notice About Richard Marshall is that He's had his Ridiculous Hair fashioned into something more Acceptable and less worrying to young Children, RE: Today's Victory always good to Beat a Team that have spent Scheiße loads of Moolah on their squad.

Away on holiday. Brilliant performance and a good performance against the table toppers without our top forwards. The one glitche was Leigh but we seem to be heading in the right direction. Probably better than Watson at the same stage of his ‘team building’. I do think Leigh was complacency
Even the doom mongers must be slightly happy
How was the penalty count?

We conceded a pen in the first tackle, thought here we go again. But after that it was ok, don’t remember seeing too many go against us, and also importantly nothing stupid in areas where they can kick for goal. Listening to Marshall speak at the captains run on Sunday reminded me, and I think this has been mentioned on here before, that he’s majorly keen on bringing through local talent. This again is another reason I really hope he succeeds, we need this more than most clubs. He comes across a really decent chap, fingers crossed we can end the season well and roll that in to next year.

I don't think anyone on this forum or who watches the team wants the coach to fail But things do not work out and it is always the coach that suffers, and sometimes that's not fair because you can't ship all players out. Yesterday was as good as Leigh was bad,so what changed. But it seems this question about Marshall as got people on the forum split into to camps for and against.but I am sure we all want him to succeed, some on the forum say we can't afford to change, now that I find baffling because if that's the case we have a coach with a job for life Some on here have said he should have at least 10 games next season that I also find strange, but as I say I am sure we all want the coach to succeed.

Dixon. 100% correct. We desperately want him to succeed. The other stuff like not his team, can’t afford to sack him, give him first 10 games next season is bollocks. Make no mistake,we’re rooting for him to succeed.

Absolutely Dixon, totally agree. I believe we all want the same thing. Ive questioned Marshall on here before, I’m still by no means convinced. I’m not in any “camp”, I’m (like I guess you are) for Marshall doing really well, but I’m by no means for him blindly. My feelings right now are that King and Blease have decided he’s going to be the coach next season, they’ve signed the people based on that. That being so, there’s no point from my perspective questioning his position right now. That doesn’t mean to say I’m not concerned, if we’re in the same situation 10 games in to next season I really fear for us, but I think the time to change has been and gone and we are now where we are. My comment re wanting him to do well wasn’t a dig at anyone, more me realising that if he does get it right on the pitch the he also gets time to build the pathway as he likes, which obviously would be great
