And again I'll mention him but since ackers has developed his running game you can see Pauli has come on leaps and bounds Ackers was brilliant again too

Years ago Albert Blan (Swinton #13) gave this piece of wisdom.
The acting half back should always run from the play the ball.
If so the rest of the team are on the move.
Ackers has obviously taken note.

Good extended highlights on the SL site. Didn’t realise how much we were on top until the Tui pass

Three wins in the lst four now which would suggest that some progress may be being made.
However, all four games have been matches with unique sets of circumstances to each and we have gome in all four from the sublime to the ridiculous in all aspects of the game.
I suppose the biggest positive is the return of Inu.
For me though it's been nice to see us scoring and winning but the jury is still out on Marshall. This Friday, against what is looking like a strong Leeds line up, may give us a better idea.

This Friday, against what is looking like a strong Leeds line up, may give us a better idea. My thoughts are very similar. It looks like the club are sticking by him so regardless of where we end up I think we're stuck with him for better or worse. It's certainly been a baptism of fire for him on many levels and for us to be where we are in the table with the way that we're playing is a big surprise. I don't know if it represents the quality of SL in general, the weird covid situation, or whether we've been lucky with the way the fixtures have fallen. Maybe a bit of all of that to be honest. Looking at the fixtures, Leeds is our biggest test of whether we've improved or just been fortunate. Traditionally a place we get very little at. We're then onto a patch of very winnable games on paper with Wigan away being the exception right up until Catalan which will be very difficult. Interesting times.

If you tossed a coin to decide which dice and then the number to choose the gun for Russian Roulette that would be this season. And that's why relegation is still an option.

Give the man a chance. He’s finding his feet and let’s face it with the bare bones of a team, inc bringing in players to make the 17, he’s done well. Just a point off beating Cas and Wigan also
So let’s see how this mad season unfolds and let’s see who he brings in. He said he’d concentrate on defence and getting the skill set of the players better, which he seems to be doing.
Remember when Watto game in it was chaos for a couple of years as it is with him now at Hudds.
Survival for me this season and a few good wins is all I ask. Oh and Leigh beating Hudds and Wakey😂

Sick to death of the Marshall Out Brigade. We are in a totally unique year with Covid etc and yet all we hear are negative comments about our coaching set up. KIndly give it a rest until say the first dozen games of NEXT season.

KIndly give it a rest until say the first dozen games of NEXT season. Have to say I agree. Whilst I'm not saying he's maybe always made the right choices (because we all know better having all been pro sports coaches at some point in our lives😁) this year has been one setback after another and we don't have the infinite resources or infrastructure to cope with COVID related setbacks. Let's see the season out and hopefully pick up a few more wins and start to get a settled team on the field. We should then get an idea of what to expect next season (assuming we don't see another mass exodus like we have the past few seasons). Throw in the stadium situation and let's be honest it's been pretty horrendous for all concerned. 2020/21 has been sh*te for everyone and we need to regroup. We've got some great people within the club and we need to stay positive. (note to fans - stay off social media... you'll be amazed how much better the real world looks when you actually live in it!😉😁).

Yes Ithink when we see a team built by our coaching team we'll have more insight and evidence to base our criticisms on. If there are any!

If money were available Marshall would have gone by now. Most clubs have had major issues but his aim to improve our defence has yet to be met and he clearly overrates some players. Big test for all on Friday

Let's all be civil please. We can criticize each others opinions and ideas openly as long as it's done respectfully. I don't want it going down the RLFans route on here.
For what it's worth, I think RM is doing a decent job under the circumstances but I'm not convinced as to whether it's all of his own doing or just events have lead to favourable outcomes. Like others have said, Leeds is a big test not only of where we're at with this team, but whether the team is bonding and working together when it gets tough.
Remember, it's been a tough year for all clubs in SL so it's not a valid excuse to shield poor decisions. The club are obviously sticking by their man and so will I but he doesn't get a free pass because circumstances have been tough for everyone. Saying nobody should judge him until way into next season is frankly baffling to me. By the same logic we shouldn't praise his decisions when it all goes well either.
We're in a decent position in the table at the moment, things seem to be going well, and we're finally finding spots for players that they're getting comfy in. We're above Huddersfield and Leigh. All is well as far as I'm concerned.
