There have been a few digs at our club by Wakey fans on Facebook and on the main RL Forum. They fancied their chances against us a couple of weeks ago and think we manipulated the postponement of the original game.

Going to drive to the HJ tomorrow for the first time (normally get the train and have a few/lot of drinks!).
Anyone able to suggest a decent free parking spot near the ground? Assume there won't be more than about 2000 there tomorrow so can't see street parking being an issue if there's any available.
Alternatively, I might grab my tea up there after work so recommendations for a pub that serves food that might let me leave the car there for the duration of the match would also be good.
Cheers

Cheers Golden Square multi story car park is free after 6, probably 5-10 min walk away from the ground most roads close to the ground are resident only but you may be able to find something on the non residential streets or a little further away. There is a large car park next to kings head which is closest, but it’s a couple of quid Pub wise nearest I can think with parking is waterside which is over the other side of town near the old ground, probably 20 min walk or so. But there are plenty of pubs as am sure you know in town centre if you park in golden square

Think I'll stop for a nice carvery on the way up.😋

There’s often parking to be had down the side streets near the ground, lots of car show rooms to park near

The McDonalds on the right hand side between the motorway and the ground is a short walk away.

Had it on my time line, then had to remind him it was Leeds that postponed their game because of covid not us. Soon pipped down, hope we smash them tomorrow night

Sadly this tone of optimism reminds me of after Huddersfield. Please not another Leeds

Escaré dropped because his 2 tries exposed his dodgy defence, and to satisfy The Height. 0rmondroyd at full back as he drives the ball up so well

Report from RM that Hitago only arriving today and in reality it's only 27 fit again. Taylor had Covid lost weight as have a couple of others. Still tough times

Just hope Escare plays full back he is the one most likely to make something happen near the line.

Daft Q I know but the SP for tonight is food and drink allowed in the ground in a clear bag(?!) but no cans. So does that mean no alcohol to be taken in whatsoever or just no cans of alcohol? Like would 4 x plastic bottles of lager be allowed in or something to that effect?

Escaré at full back, praise the Lord. Funnily enough I watched the 2 NRL games this morning. Their full backs didn’t tackle. Attackers ran right passed them. Having said that,I hope his confidence has improved, otherwise I’m eating humble pie
