I always thought you were reasonably astute Bonita. 'You usually agree with me' - Fixed it for you. Seriously, eb, could you be anymore condescending...

I’m very relaxed about any apparent condescension. As regards dixon13’s point, that’d be correct if they’ve allowed that situation to arise but I don’t think they’re so inept.
For me,and I could very well be wrong, I strongly suspect that Marshall has lost the dressing room. I also think that this is only going to end one way and delaying any decision is simply delaying what is inevitable.
The clock is certainly ticking.

Nobody is saying in the long run he might go but there might be a few things that can be done to improve the situation before it happens. And the corner might be turned.
We must admit this injury crisis is unprecedented.

Respect Bonita`s views normally but disagree with his stance currently. Think I`m allowed to do so. As Dixon states too - The Forum is intended for fans to state their own views.

No offence taken at all, only because you said I’m normally astute 🤣🤣 Yes, we disagree on this and that won’t change.

You would thought that we would have had something from Mr Blease,on the situation even if it is only geanaral like we are not happy with the situation that kind of stuff. It just seems to me.We are just drifting along Like we are the Titanic heading for the iceberg and the ships mate says to the captain shall we try to turn and the captain informs him No its to late we might as well hit it.So for me it is as Early Bath says we can't pay them off,or they think they are doing a good job.It is one or the other.

Using your Titanic analogy i have a question. Do we blame the iceberg, rearrange the deck chairs or maybe change the captain, if we can afford it. Can we afford not to

Plenty of criticism for the coaching staff on here which I absolutely understand but let's not also lose sight of the fact that ultimately it's the players who are performing abysmally on the pitch and they are just as culpable if not more so
The coach was noticeably much more critical of the players after the match on Friday than previously - yes he knows he is in danger of losing his job (and so too the rest of the coaching team) but there was undisguised anger at how the 17 performed on the night
Undoubtedly the catalyst to it all unravelling was the truly dreadful decision to sin bin Atkin for a legal ball steal. Probably the worst single decision I have ever seen from a referee but then should we really be surprised about that? Mr Kendall's often baffling decisions ensured we never had a chance in the Grand Final so it was once par for the course. Sadly he remains out of his depth as he has ever since he was parachuted in to Super League officialdom
Players are just as accountable for the result as the coaching staff but rarely seem to be in the spotlight to the same extent. Their current level of "performance" and attitude was summed up by Pauli Pauli's red card for a late, cheap shot. A peripheral figure in the match, he managed 80 minutes without making any meaningful contribution and will now be banned again immediately after serving a previous suspension
The other problem is the distraction caused by player contract negotiations. I appreciate players need to plan for the future but the absurd rule that allows them to start discussions with other clubs when 80% of the current season still remains is absurd and a distraction every year. This season this has been further exacerbated by our former coach turning players heads with offers of big contracts at Shuddersfield. No matter what he achieved at Salford he should hang his head in shame. It is not surprising to hear he has lost a lot of respect in the game through his "tactic" of approaching players through the media. Shameful
Two weeks without a game spent on the training pitch resulted in no change in our performance. We are rudderless in attack, passive in defence and our lack of discipline is embarrassing. The players need to take responsibility now if they have any respect for the club and it's supporters. Enough is enough

Agree completely with the fact that Marshall and Orr have had 2 weeks on the training ground in preparation of the HKR game and to deliver such a turgid performance is unforgivable. For me in the same situation the likes of Wane or McDermott get their team up for a performance.
Those who are saying to move the bad eggs out in the likes of Escare, Tui and Patton my question would be that given their performances who would take them off us?

Tui going at end of season anyway,so a swap sooner than that would be a bonus. Patton a one year deal so play him as interchange hooker until he leaves. Escaré,I think,is on a 3 year deal so that’s more problematic. He’s not our biggest problem, though. Nobody is suggesting that they’re bad eggs, just underperforming

Wonder if the club has the contacts to pull a Hastings-esque style saviour signing out of the hat. One thing social media has shown is the idea that players not making the cut for NRL teams would clamour to join a Super League club is complete nonsense. The likes of Josh Dugan and previously Andrew Fifita have been played in the regional and feeder competitions recently, and we also picked up Hastings from the same competition. I would hazard a guess that this competition is probably superior in quality and funding to our Super League.

Can we afford not to Bonitared something as got to change, you have got to say that Leigh at least are playing with a bit of passion,so if you say it is us or them that gives them the edge, what do you think. Or if its Salford Leigh or Wakefield, where would your money be.

Dixon, we have the better squad than the others. We have the worst form. Even when we had a full squad he didn’t pick the right team,in my humble opinion Taking all that into account,we’re struggling particularly as the others are playing with greater spirit. I agree with you, something has to change and it can’t be the players, can it?
