Pretty much the only thing he did all match. And my admiration for Child went up another notch today. Outstanding official.👏

Improving but need to start turning these close games into wins, and we did that today without some key men, come on Solly let's start moving up that table and away from the trap door

Childs is a joke. Much improved from Saints, few wrong choices like going for the drop and the kick they scored off but played well. Escare looked good at fb, same again Thursday

If we’d won rather than lost by a drop goal we’d be praising a great performance. We were pretty good , I thought. So much so that I think Marshall is imposing hiimself on the teams philosophy Again the defence was good and our attack far more fluent. Patten did enough organising to keep his place. The pack was strong In truth,if we ever have a fully fit squad I’m not sure what our best team is Possibly Sarge back in the centre and Greenwood in the pack. Moose obviously. Whatever Escaré shortcomings are,we definitely look slippier in the backs and with our attacking play

Sounded on the radio that we were done by James Child again. 5 mins to go and Taylor made a perfectly legal strip which would have given us 6 tackles on their line and a good chance of a drop goal. Instead, Child gave the ball to Wigan who went upfield and scored the winning drop goal. But a much better performance by the sound of it and hopefully we can kick on from this and get a few wins.

Didn't see the game but listened to it. Sounds like a much improved performance. Glad that Escare had a good game. We've needed someone to get a grip on FB and make themselves first choice so we can stop the merry-go-round.
Still gutting to lose by the point, but glad the effort and improvement was there, and that's all we ever require as Salford fans.

Try pulled back for forward pass looked ok, the strip was fine but he pulled it back for a knock on earlier in the play, wouldn’t have happened the other way I’m sure. They knocked on near the line from a kick. Nowt given. Second half turned in to the James childs show. That said our discipline and ball control was much improved, attack looked decent. Defence was good. Enjoyed the game

That was the right decision. Williams had knocked on trying to catch the kick, the Wigan player picked it up, ran infield and had the ball stolen. No advantage so went back to the knock on. He had made a few metres but hadn’t passed or kicked so advantage wasn’t over. Not that the fans around me seemed to think so. Two women behind us waited 14 months to be at a game and spent the whole game screaming abuse/criticism at the ref 🙄

Well on the whole that was much better against a Wigan team there to for the beating. Thought Escare was good (Our best full back at Salford take note Marshall) and for the most part the forwards really laid a platform, overall much better defence which was pleasing and consistent effort.
Here is the negative - Why the hell was Dec Patton taken off and Addy sent on near the end. Was Patton injured? Addy is not and will never be a super league 7. A drop goal specialist taken off why? Too make matters worse Addy was on one leg for the last ten mins, clearly injured but had to carry on?? I do not understand such strange logic from Marshall and Orr possibly bad decision making at a crucial time.
Credit to Tui also, when Greenwood and Burgess are fit we will be a much stronger team with Sarge back. Overall a vast improvement from Saints, gutted we let this game slip.

That frustration aside it was great to be back at a live game. Very good performance by salford. Didn’t deserve to lose based on effort and thought we were the better team. But conceded soft tries and couldn’t see the game out. Thought Livett and Pauli were outstanding, Tui was very good, Addy had his best game for us as did Patton. Atkin very good again. The whole team put 100% in. Frustrating to lose but I think I might have take 17-16 before kick off 😂

Pleased with effort but my god im so annoyed with our discipline.Kick off in second half we lost the ball straightaway and sio dropping the ball on our line giving them a set of 6 on our line which they scored.
Saying that child's just had his usual game, how can you give a forward pass when it hits a wigan player.

I watched on Our League. Child’s was his usual self, but we gained more than we lost from his decisions today. Bet it didn’t feel like that on the ground but Moz was the pundit and he felt we had the rub of the green on occasions

How was Lannon today ? After people calling for him to get dropped. Sounded like him and Bateman was getting right into each other
