Watched the game last night and do not remember Sarge throwing anyone?? He ran into Lomax when he passed it as we broke? Getting seriously fed up of this sports Self-righteousness governing body, we seem to get longer match bans and historically bigger points deductions than other 'bigger' clubs.

It was this one. Missed it at the time. It’s not good but it’s not as bad as the one by Matautia for Cas which didn’t even get a warning from the match review panel

It is Salford I expect nothing less - one match tops.
The game is run by an organisation that does not want change and is happy with the status quo of success being amongst a few small towns and a big city in the North of England.

Of course safety is paramount,but I honestly think we should play Rugby Tick,and in carpet slippers at that. |

If Escare doesn't get a game on Saturday then he might as well pack his bags and see out his 3 year contract sitting on a beach in the south of France! Remember this is a player who spent a lot of time last season for no wage training with the rest of the squad and there were a lot of positive comments from the then coaching staff about his efforts
As for Sarginson that's a bad and late hit so got everything he deserved and has plenty of previous with the disciplinary so he can have no complaints - he needs to tidy his act up

The ban is a golden opportunity now for Escare to perform and hopefully impress Marshall. Fortunately we have a few options at centre and although I’d prefer Sarginson in the team it does give Costello an opportunity to show what he can do. With a run in the team I suppose one positive for this year is that it’s unlikely our players will be cherry picked like the previous two years. I still think Marshall was a decent choice compared to an overpaid Aussie coach who knows nothing about SL. I’m hopeful the work over the next few months will come to fruition next year with the addition of some decent new recruits in key spine positions.

That’s unbelievable. Tom Johnstone got hit full in the face and hasn’t played since. Not even a penalty, never mind a ban. The tackle by Sarge was copybook, but warranted a penalty as the feet went above the horizontal. Maybe Superleague should be cut to just 4 teams.

No way that should be a ban of any sort. Nothing wrong with that tackle — he was in full control the entire time and opposition player was safe throughout. He tackled a player without the ball — a penalty should suffice.
