Hard to fault the effort in defence especially when Saints lie on every set without consequence. They slow us down at every opportunity. That said we are dire in attack, Sarge is not a full back we are missing a player in the line that can link up. I would like to see Costello get a go he is quick enough. Watkins defence at times is all over no need to rush the line as much. But the main question is on Marshall why is the attack so poor when we are well into a season? Brown looks in effective other than when kicking and Tui is not running enough vast improvement needed going forward. Thought Atkin did tremendous covering for Ackers he certainly was making tackles and trying to the end.

Can’t fault the effort again but the attack is not existent. OK Saints are a good defensive side but we offered absolutely nothing with the ball. Spine of the team isn’t good enough and our forwards are getting out muscled every week. It’s going to be a long hard season to endure with the odd shock win I predict. Recruitment work for 2022 needs to start now because we’re a million miles away but the good thing is we have several players out of contract that can be replaced. 2nd bottom is the best we can realistically expect from this squad and new coaching setup.

Sure the fans that will be there on Saturday will let the coach know there feelings at full time, something needs to change and quickly, other teams are picking up points and leaving us adrift

Well I thought we did ok and I thought the reffing for offside and lying on at the ptb was abysmal. Hence our and every other teams attack fails. 54 Pts conceded in 7gsmes. Having said that Watkins/Sio awful. Sarge covered well at fb but not too effective going forward.
Good to see an 80 min performance under extreme pressure, having one man off straight away. All round we're improving and today against a team that's been honed for years we held our own for lots of it. But sadly the backs that seem superb on paper are not up to it....Sio poor.
Have faith; against any other team today we'd have been in a v tight contest. Saints are a well oiled machine who play on the very edge in defence and get away with it all the time against inexperienced refs

Agree fully on the offside and lying on. Can understand when it's players on the edges but no excuse from Moore turning a blind eye to guys next to him consistently being a couple of yards in front. I thought the lads put a decent defensive effort in, just the constant defending and 6 agains caught us out towards the end. Throw in a couple of tries where they got a bit lucky on the counter attack and it could have been a bit closer.
Not going to deny our attack is poor but I still fancy us to pick up wins against teams around us. We've had a lot of tough games to start and some sh*t luck with key players being out and constantly having to shuffle the team. Just hope the fans get behind the lads at the weekend come what may. Saints fans were their usual mute selves tonight so let's show them what supporting your team is like.👍

Don't get in the ground for a year and then focus your energies on getting on the coaches back.👏👏👏

Ur blaming refs and not giving any accountability to the coaching staff. Backs looks bad because there are limited set plays and they are looking lost and making basic errors. We have lost 2 key pivots in The team which are just being ignored and are stifling the attack. FB is a pivot for attack which evalds and obrian played well. Sarginson offers nothing LF we have lost Flash whose ball handing ability acted as another pivot moving the team around. Now we have Taylor who just tackles. Neither of these positions are being addressed and its having an adverse effect which Marshall is not correcting. Not good enough, again!!

22-0 down with a full set in our opponents half and we didn’t even try to throw the ball around. Says it all really we are absolutely toothless with the ball this year.

Come on guys, RM did say for the first half of the season he would concentrate on defence and getting the skills up. He's inherited a team, with 11 new players, he didn't choose and is working hard at it. Watson lost 6 easier matches on the bounce last year, was really lucky to win against Wigan and was taken to the wire against a couple of teams who played their kids. In the Cup we avoided Saints in Rd 1 and met not brilliant teams to get to the Final, which, without a poor decision from the ref we would have won. But we by no means had a good season.
SO AGAINST WIGAN CELEBRATE THE FACT WE CAN SEE A GAME; SUPPORT THE LADS AND THE STAFF AND HELP BRING SOME WINS HOME. WE'RE FROM SALFORD, WE HAVE NO MONEY BUT WE HAVE GUTS AND SPIRIT, DON'T LOSE IT.

If you don’t ask any questions you won’t find any answers. Great the boys have worked really hard again and kept the score reasonably respectable but the games about scoring points and entertaining. It seems all the focus is all about defending and putting in a decent shift with little emphasis on what we can actually do with the ball in hand.

It takes time to build a team mate, and it's building. Look at Leeds, all their money and they were awful the other night; they're re-building and in front of us
