Was def offside (mcshane) Was really dumb to go for drop goal that far out. We should’ve kicked into corner and made them work their way out of their half....oh well, Atleast the effort was there.

I'm 'appy. However, I've seen great performances by Salford in cup matches followed by dire League games. Let's hope (sorry Carnster) we can avoid that this season.
Funny enough my man of the match never ended it.

Another improvement but am gutted with that, there for the taking. Thought going for the drop goal from there was risky, but McShane must be offside? Also Mossops first try was grounded. Little unlucky with a few knock on calls too. But all in all played pretty well, tough few games coming up now We miss Evalds as the link in the line on attack as well But Sarge can catch the ball now

No complaints. Played pretty much as well as we could’ve done

Unlucky guys, golden point is never a nice way to go out of the cup. It was always going to be a bit of a lottery in those conditions and as some one above said if Macca plays for you its a win. Good luck for the rest of the season.

I was on here banging on about RM giving him some deserved stick for the lack lustre structure and poor performances, so it's only right I give him credit for yesterdays game. in attack we were massively improved the structure was there and we looked a threat, our halves looked good and our forwards made good meters although mossops form still concerns me. Thought our intensity in defence was excellent and bar their 3rd try thought we looked solid throughout. My only moan is set completion, if we could have put them under more pressure near their line we could have won that. All in all chuffed with that and its something to build on, well done RM.

"Can't believe at one bastard point we could of had him in exchange for Fages" yes but at the time he was not a good player. He's come on in the last 3 seasons (and beginning to curb his chat to refs)

No-one slightly aggrieved about the Kev Brown "no try"? I'm sure he grounded it at the start of his slide but was then held up. Little made of it by the commentators at the time and don't think Moore reviewed it enough as was too focused on the 2nd part of the tackle where he was clearly held up.
Whilst it was a big improvement bit gutted we blew a great chance to have another crack at embarassing the mighty Wire.😁 Couple of daft plays (Pauli throwing out of play on 2nd/3rd tackle near their line) and not getting a grip on Mcshane cost us.
I suppose at least it's something to build on but we've been handed the shitty end of the stick by the fixture committee with Saints, Wigan & Wire up next after the tough start we've already endured. Just need to get through these next few weeks with some promising performances before we can start to look at games where we're more likely to pick up a few points.

I also think Brown brushed the grass with the ball on the line. What is the point of having a video ref if they don’t look at things properly. Also clearly showed the Evalds knocked on before Sio knocked it into touch. The video ref a union would have advised the on field ref he had made an error and we would have had another attacking set of six. No sour grapes about it but I think the game should improve on the use of the video ref or scrap them. Was my first chance to see a match this season and I was quite impressed given the comments I have read on here after previous matches (and the limited highlights shown on the Superleague site).

I was gutted by the result yesterday but was impressed by the improvement in our performance, particularly in the conditions. I thought we were on the wrong side of some fifty fifty decisions - particularly with ball steals. Sometimes it seemed there were two tacklers when the ball was stolen and the referee just played on; on another occasion when the ball was stripped it was ruled a knock on. The video ref could have ruled in our favour on one occasion too.
I hope that Richard Marshall now knows more clearly his best seventeen and feels he can build on yesterday’s performance.

I don’t think that there is any doubt that Brown got the ball down before he was ‘held up’. The problem is that the video ref (think it was James Child again!) saw a phantom hand under the ball. That’s why he didn’t look at it again. It’s like the non double movement that Saints scored against us in the last minute to win the game a few years ago. And does anyone remember that try also against Cas in the cup a few years ago when the video ref said that there was nothing to overturn the on field decision of a try for Cas. Jiffy correctly said ‘nothing except the ball clearly never touched the ground’. Time for the video ref to be ditched I think.
