In LE, RM identifies that he's trying to find the best slots for players and the best blend and he does want players to fix places. Seems reasonable that he has a structure and trying to find the best fit so having to try players and move them around. Also said Taylor Sarge Inu could be ok for Sat So I'm looking forward to more improvement in the Cup. We do need a couple of leaders/ organisers like Flanagan and Joey though. Therein lies the difference between a good coach and a bad one.A good coach makes the system to fit his players not the other way round.

Would go for:
Kear Inu Watkins Sarginson Sio Lolohea Brown Mossop Ackers Ormondroyd Greenwood Livett Taylor
Atkin Lussick Ikahihifo Pauli
Agree that size and grunt needed to counter Watts and rest. Also think Ackers and Atkins pace to attempt to nulify McShane, Richardson and Truman. Think Sarge has the workrate to quieten Matautia and Shenton/Watkins will be another good battle.

Therein lies the difference between a good coach and a bad one.A good coach makes the system to fit his players not the other way round. I think that's a valid point. I'm hoping that he is fitting a system around what he has at his disposal rather than trying to shoehorn them into Saints mark 2. We're clearly not struck with the same luxuries as his previous employer. I know that a coach really wants to make their mark on new clubs and teams, but when you inherit a group of players the first season is always going to be about who you want to be carrying into the next season where you can start to shape the kind of team and systems you want. Let's hope RM knows what he's doing.

Ackers out áccording to Private Eye Big miss as seriously got no running threat with him out of the team. Burke & Atkin anyone? Really hope young Connor comes back from his loan at Newcastle and gets himself into the frame for selection. Appreciate he's young and raw but we're really lacking at 9 since Joey/Logan left.

Think Patten must improve when he understands the position better. His tackling stats are really good. At least we have some cover. Remember just before Joey and Jackson came, no half backs, no hookers, so it could be worse.

I think regardless of the 17 if we don't sort out our discipline this week it doesn't matter who starts where. Each week we are throwing away the game at crucial periods through poor disapline and if IM hasn't addressed it in training this week then it could be another tough watch. DISAPLINE DISAPLINE DISAPLINE!!

Well, here we are, played a few and won not many at the start of a season. No change there then. When new teams and Coaches come together, the process is: Form Storm Perform
Pardon the training 'speak' but that is a proven process, the team meets, they establish a pecking order and then they perform. I see it that we are possibly coming out of the 'storm' phase and ready to perform. We might even sneak a win tomorrow, that wouldn't surprise me. But whatever happens, only Blease and King can judge where we are and what we can achieve this season.

Gonna be a free-flowing extravaganza of expansive Rugby League today guys with this Mediterranean weather we're experiencing!😁
I'm going out on a limb here by predicting it'll be niggly, error strewn and forcing errors through an accurate kicking game and solid "D"😳 will decide the match.
Let's get out and smash 'em boys!!!

Knockonathon awaits.
Typical luck as it will be my first opportunity to see a game this season.

I know it's an old record, but I really do hope we get a performance where we do the right things in the right order at the right time.
