Very clever line from reds54. The only General Brown I could find to match Patton was General Charles Q Brown who is US Air Force chief.
Back to Rugby.
Think Inu should slot in but has he put on a good few pounds during the pandemic?
Escare`s support play is exceptional and has been missed. Costello OK too & the under rated Atkin had a very good game.
In the pack Ormondroyd should hold his place ahead of Lannon. Great feet and pace too. Lussick has been training at Greggs and needs to shed a few ounces. Pauli & Seb in great shape though.
Good to see a win even over a Championship side and Matty Smith should join the dieters at Salford!

What about Sir Richard Browne in the War of the Three Kingdoms (English Civil Wars) (I know Browne not Brown) even if I see him as a turncoat.

And isn't it pleasant on One League and the Beeb not having to listen to the Chuckle Brothers

Yes that`s allowable HillbillyRed and a good spot.
The only Dick Brown I ever saw was on a beach on the Costa del Sol.

Patton for Brown with Atkin coming off the bench. Ackers starts at 9. Ormondroyd starts ahead of Lannon. We need the big bruisers to repeat that dominance over a big Catalan pack.

For me, Ackers was really good off the bench, taking advantage of lazy markers tired A defenders. I think he needs to continue to do that and be the interchange 9 and start with Patton (whose distribution was excellent). I know people don’t like Brown but he is our general and on-field coach who makes sure the game plan is executed. For me, he needs to play. Ormondroyd was outstanding though to say he starts ahead of Lannon is baffling as they play different positions. Ormondroyd at 10, Pauli and Livett in the back row and Taylor at 13 (if fit). I also really liked the look of Wells today. Very solid in defence with decent go forward.

Ormondroyd came as a second rower and played there in 2020

reds89 Ormondroyd came as a second rower and played there in 2020 Maybe so, but so far this season he has started at prop today and against Wigan in the friendly, and come on at prop in the two league games. Players positions change as they mature.

Agree with this, Ormondroyd was outstanding and on the past two games Lannon should not be near the 17 for Cats. Marshall needs to be bold an omit Brown - Patten deserves a chance at 7. As for the pack Pauli, Roberts and Lussick size makes a huge difference. Livett makes minimal yards although he was intelligent in defense. Hope Escare and Costello get chances against Cats they made a huge difference and Watkins looked better as the game went on. Whilst it was Widnes not Super Leagues 1 and 2 the overall attitiude was much better. Good job Reds.

He can play either position. To be fair, I think Prop is his natural position so the Lannon thing is maybe not right.

Patton brought so much shape into the attack when he played as a 7 very smart and vocal player he has to get the nod over Brown for Les cats.

From what I saw Patten played at 9, Atkin at 7 Think he should start as 9, Ackers later

Lannon is nowhere near Superleague standard imo. He’s like a player we would have in the bad old days, a penalty machine. Shouldn’t be back in the team unless we are short of bodies
