Not that I'm taking sides here, but if you need the team piccies to know who's in our team, at your advanced age Russ, then your problem isn't with the website.  In all seriousness, I'm in total agreement, and always have, in that the website needs to be up to date. I've been going on about it for a while. It's fine in most other areas, it just needs to be kept up to date. Hell, I'll keep it up to date for them if they want... |

Needs more info,,,stats etc
Just seems to be a selling platform for season tickets, RDTV, game tickets, Squad Builder, merchandise. Boring.
The Club just don't understand its role

The Club just don't understand its role if you actually look at the website plenty of this is up to date as you call it. in actual fact the only thing that isn't up to date is the Squad list. There have been 24 news stories (which considering its pre season with not much to report is pretty good going) covering various items including gold line draw (6 articles) may not be important to some but is a key source of valuable income during these times. the remainder have been associated with signings interviews with players after they have re-signed and updates from the coach, dates on the start of the season and the first game. 1 article on the relaunch of squadbuilder and a new initiative on RDtv "Fan Cam". Im not actually sure what other info you could want with the exception of the player profiles. not sure what information you would want on the players as its all readily available, but hey continue to bleat on im sure there are plenty of people listening! on the other hand the Social Media platforms are very well updated, include behind he scenes footage of the training sessions, including pictures and videos, interviews with players. |

When it comes to opinion we fall into either or categories very easily.
And sometimes we fall into shooting the messenger, which is a bit silly on a forum.

Perhaps as you have influence RR you might put what is on social media on the web site for a start
Player stats etc. The Club or you wants us to pay for everything on RDTV so only tasters on the site until it wants to sell something then there's great detail. But to sell you have to get readers and that means giving as well.
Go and have a look at good corporate web sites.
Must admit I only look at it occasionally now as if I'm honest it's a waste of time. I've lost interest in it.

I've lost interest in it. As I have previously stated I do not have any influence over the club nor have I ever worked for the club! I’m a fan, nothing more. Everything that is on social media is linked back to the website and news articles contained therein! Every club has paid for content, generally on the video front so that’s a given albeit the club do put items on RDTV that are free to watch, items such as the Richard Marshall Bret view. Opposed to having a look at good corporate websites why not have a look at other SL clubs, have a look at how many news articles have been published since the turn of the year opposed to a squad list! |
