Taking U S sport as a bench mark is a good way of looking at the idea. They do tend to follow a similar pattern no matter what the sport which means it's a formula that works or they don't tend to be innovative after a certain point.
There's a big focus on individual athletes and personal conflicts even for team oriented sports.
They're very much more open when talking about prospective signings of players and coaches.
There are far more video snippets and lots of stats.
there is plenty of content on RDtv and i would urge anyone to spend the £5 per month for it, every game last season is on there plus others from previous seasons and heritage games plus interviews with plyers, coaching staff and the live ! & A Sessions when they did them
Ok so the website as the mouthpiece/ centrepiece for the Club isn't important
Where have I said that?
I said that the majority of income is probably being spent on the squad and backroom staff. especially given that we are circa 300k down on Central funding.
As has also been said by multiple people every club in the game seems to be focusing more on Social Media with links to certain articles whether it be the club shop, a particular news article or a link to RDtv. That seems to be the direction they are going and it gets a far bigger reach.
the website would therefore not be the centerpiece for the club or a mouthpiece as this seems to be social media.
As I said previously, all roads should lead to a well maintained website, it's just rarely the first port of call for most. As long as it's updated in line with what is happening on social media everyone is happy.
Those that don't use social media or choose not to are then not reliant on other areas to keep updated.
The website doesn't have to be an all singing all dancing experience, It just needs a bit of TLC and someone happy enough to keep it rolling in real time.
It should be the Hub from which all links emanate but it should be up to date and have additional factual information, stats, link for juniors etc. Probably the main marketing platform.
But of course you have to put time in, not like Twitter Facebook or whatever, which contain generally off the cuff I'll thought out comments which are instantaneous and generally of v little value unless you want to continuously bombard people
The way it is at the moment it seems pointless and might as well be dumped and the money saved At least tho according to it we still have Evalds, Dudson, Lusdick and a few others in the team
