Looks like Ashall Bott has succumbed to that blatant shoulder charge. Not even a penalty, never mind a yellow or red card. We were always up for a hiding, but to have to suffer the worst reffing performance I think I have ever seen is a bit much. I didn’t see it as a shoulder, let alone blatant. The ref was very poor,as Kendall always is,but that’s not the reason we lost. Wigan would have stuffed anyone tonight. Worried about Monday if we can’t sort out the spine. If Evalds and Ashley Bott not fit then Chamberlain or Kear has to go there, unless Sarge is back from Covid

Why where there changes pre game?
That for me was inevitable, we don't have a big enough squad to rest the players who played in the final, the ones that did back up were shattered.
The season is now a write off, all we need make sure is that there's no serious injuries before the end of the season.

One brown was out I feared for tonight. But that was a lot worse than I expected. I think we got frustrated with dodgy refereeing decisions and lost our way. I don’t normally moan about refs but that was poor tonight
Having said that I like that these kind of score lines and poor performances are exceptions rather than the norm like they have been for most of my time watching salford
I fear for Monday though

The reffing in the first half was as bad as I've seen for a long time from a knock on that led to the first try then two forward passes and a dropped ball for the second.. Kendall for me ruined the final, had to be advised by a video ref on the last GB tour snd was then dropped as being incompetent He's just not up to it. He's got to be dropped from the panel. He's poor every game snd going backwards.
Thought Mossop was awesome and even tho we had 3 or 4 not able to play at the last minutes before the game plus 2 CV still and two head injuries, we never gave up And Joey moved to stand off and most tackles in the match. Really liked our attitude, didn't do a Cas aWakey or a KR in giving up, we tried to the end. That's all you can ask.
And Watto never moans. Although I must admit glad he wasn't interviewed after the match re Kendall
Anyway am enjoying mouthy Leeds getting stuffed. No doubt Agar, with all his new squad will do a Powell

Pauli Pauli also seemed to have the bit between his teeth Yes,It makes a Change from him Having a Pie & Chips and a Donut in it . Funniest quote since Junior Langi couldn’t keep his fridge door closed. I spent 25 years refereeing in the Amateur and Student game and I can’t remember as bad a ref as Kendall. He can control the players but what he does do consistently is make wrong factual calls. He is poor but I suspect the new ref Griffiths is going to struggle. They need to sweep the referees department clean. Too many old officials have their own empires under Ganson, who heaven only knows where he is.This isn’t sour grapes just comments that most can see.

Agree re Kendal, he's too busy looking officious and blowing his whistle but get it all wrong. Embarrassing last night as he was on the GB TOUR Hasn't Ganson gone now?

We got what I expected, but let's cut some slack.Six days ago some played in the most important game in their careers so far might never get the chance again. They lost not because of a lack of effort or skill but in part to refereeing. His that a excuse for last night no,his it a reason,in my opinion yes.As I say cut some slack. I was reading a copy of an old scarlet turkey, from 1999.It told me we had won 3 of the last 25 league games,we proceeded to lose the next 3 the last one at Gateshead Thunder. The fans were calling for Andy Gregory's head,it said the the only support he had was from Neil Barker Joseph Holt Joshua Tetley Johnny Walker Ron Barcadi and off course John Wilky.Puts last night into perspective.

Just watched the highlights again on the SLS. You can guarantee if we'd have scored 2 or 3 of them tries they'd have been scrutinised from every angle multiple times and then disallowed.😂 It's Wigan tho so I just don't think Kendall was remotely ar$ed tbh (and people wonder why the fans of smaller clubs feel a bit hard done by!).
We were knackered though, you could see it across the park. Those lads on the fringes have a big part to play over the next couple of weeks. Now it's time for a few of them to repay the faith Watto has put in them. If we can avoid a couple of hammerings off Saints & Wire (easier said than done with so little recovery time) then we might pick up a couple of wins during the run in as we've got some easier games on paper right at the back end.
It's just a shame the season has been so fragmented. We had an awful start with all the new players/combinations and the lads did brilliantly to get us to the CCF. We know we're better than a bottom 3 team but it'll be tough for us now to get out of it.

Just having a quick look at the Ireland RU match and yet another commentator talking endlessly, so it's not just the Chuckle Brithers in our game. It's a woman with a grating voice who, after every small incident keeps talking about it. General commentary good and experts there are good but it's as tho she has to justify her existence: awful,
Like givinga radio commentary to a TVs match. Don't they train these people?

Well said JJR
The best TV commentators in my lifetime were Henry Longhurst (Golf) & Richie Benaud (Creekit) who only added to the scene rather than mention the obvious. I mean when Charles Colville (Creekit) was commentating he came out quite regularly with `He`s Bowled him` - Dearie Me -
