Don’t know how anyone can say Sarginson won’t be missed. He’s been immense. He’s made a few handling errors over a few games. His defence is massive and his kick returns have been insane. It’s like having a prop running it back in. And he’s scored a hatful of tries. If that’s poor I’d love to see great.
For all Evalds abilities he is no kick returner and we will miss that from Sarge

Been looking on other forums: when did we become so loved and supported? In my 65+ years, I've not seen this before! Yes it's weird, isn't it?

For all Evalds abilities he is no kick returner and we will miss that from Sarge from a small squad we've lost a key bit! Yet we’ve gained a massive part of our attack back with evalds. For all Sarginson heart and ability, he is better suited to centre and we are better with our first choice full back in the side. Go back to what was discussed earlier in the week, if full strength what is our strongest back line? Your then stuck with the conundrum of Watkins, Welham and Sarginson for centre. All 3 deserve a spot, but if it surely can’t be up for debate Sarginson or Evalds? Either way, no decision needs to be made and as already noted, it could have been much worse.

Agree about Sarge . I hope Evalds is fully fit and we have a Plan B if he breaks down

Tell you what though guys, this pitch is great, the stadium seems eerie and our flag, brilliant. Pity you all can't be here. Are you there? You are Paul King and I claim my £10

Is Evalds a better all round full back? Yes Is Sarginson a better centre than full back? Yes Is Evalds better in every department at full back than Sarge? No
Not being as good at full back as Evalds does not equal poor/liability/awful as Sarge has been described on here recently. He’s arguably been our stand our player this season. He will be missed
We had a five game unbeaten run with Sarginson at full back. Including the quarter and semi final
Thankfully we have other options that will reduce how much we miss him but I’d still rather he was in the team than not

Sarginson's big problem as we all know is ball control, oh and occasionally a bit of over enthusiasm. I'd rather have Evalds, safe and secure as he back line of defence, better under the high, or low ball and better tackler. And he knows the structure having played there for years
Sarge is a wrecking ball, a bit of a Bateman type. So where do you play him. To me off the subs bench and on after 20 min as a type of loose forward/ hooker, whatever they call them these days. But given some structured freedom to cause havoc with his total commitment.

JJR er "structured freedom" is that like liberty in prison?
We don't lose in defence and in attack it's just different, the golden try was the real telling bit of evidence for that.
The so near and yet so far suffering will always lead me to be pessimistic but that does make the joy outstanding.
On the evidence Sarge deserved to be there more and that has to be said. And I'd always prefer to have someone in the team who'll be here next year in a final.

However, where would you play him tomorrow if all fit? For me he would play centre next to watkins

Yeah, a couple of finals later and we're everyone's second team and no one is asking that question anymore. Funny that!

Typical Myler picking out the negative - so much more he could discuss, explains the moaning on the pitch - just hope the kick chase is good tomorrow, we need to kick it high and really pressure him.

Leeds are vey good at searching for the sympathy vote, aren't they? I must have read about forty articles about someone in their side who deserves support and a win in the final. And that's not even counting all the ones that list how often they've reached the final and won the cup.
