Devastating for Sarginson and Ormondroyd, but from a team perspective it could be much worse. Assuming Evalds is fit to play it solves the four into three problem, and although Sarge has performed very well at fullback, Evalds is complete class there, whilst with Welham and Watkins the centres remain strong.
I think this is a good enough squad to win it. I can't wait.

If be surprised if Flanagan starts in the 2nd row. I don’t think he ever has when we have other choices? I think McCarthy will start in the 2nd row with Flash or Yates on the bench. Watto might use Yates as an interchange prop.
Burke may come in for Pauli as Burke has impressed recently but Pauli has been picked for every game he’s been available as seems to be Watto’s preference in the bench so I wouldn’t be surprised if he got the nod.
I agree with JJR that Kear might be on the bench for his versatility. Can cover if Evalds breaks down and can be used to spell Joey if needed
Strong squad though considering our (season start) first choice centre and winger are missing

Yates is better when he starts and he plays big minutes. I’m inclined to agree that Kear would be the better choice . It’s Wembley and we need a reserve back,I think. Not done the maths but I assume that means it Pauli or Burke for the final place. I think Watto will go PP but I’d probably choose Burke or even Lannon, which is why he’s a coach and I’m not

Been looking on other forums: when did we become so loved and supported? In my 65+ years, I've not seen this before!

If he wants to go out all guns blazing to try and build an early lead,Flash starts at loose for me. If he’s looking to stop Leeds early, Tyke starts. Thats my thinking, but I’m not the coach (you should all be very thankful for that!)

To be fair although I’m gutted for them on a personal level, I’m not sure both sarge and ormodroyd being out weakens us. Sarge has been poor at full back and would be rightly targeted as a weak link and Welham has been strong at centre over the past few weeks so from a team perspective not too big a loss at centre. Ormondroyd is a squad player and wouldn’t have played anyway. The big plus is our best player is back and strengthens us

Part of me (the long suffering Salford fan part) fears there is still drama to be had before the game kicks off.
It would be our luck for Watson to come down with it.
Strategy wise I think going out all guns blazing would be a huge mistake, we'll tire before Leeds do and they have much more pace in the backs.
For me this will be won in the forwards and for that reason Lannon must get a bench spot, got the feeling that he'll have a blinder.

Their pack will try and dominate early but Watto knows that and can handle it. So McCarthy or maybe even Lannon will start, keeping Flash on the bench

I've been a fan of P2 but sorry he just can't play.
To cumbersome for such a big pitch like Wembley, Yates, Tyke and Lannon for me with Flash to come of the bench.

Just my opinion: 1. Evalds 2. Inu 3. Welham 4. Watkins 5. Williams 6. Tui 7. Brown 8. Moose 9. Lussick 10. Dudson 11. Greenwood 12. Lannon 13. Yates
14. Flash 15. Ikahihifo 16. Pauli/Burke 17. Tyke
Tyke might start in place of Lannon but he’s far less effective playing out wide. I personally don’t think Pauli is up to it but as mentioned he keeps getting picked. I think he will cost us a try at least on that massive pitch. Burke has been very good lately but someone has to miss out.

One of the really good things is that it's on the Beeb. Although the Beeb in my view is going to the dogs (necessarily now of all colours creeds types ethnicities) at least the commentary should be good. Just watching the Saints match and Chuckle Bro on, talking continuously with the same old non match blurb, but actually saying nothing. John Kear Johnathon Davies et al, can't wait to listen to somebody eho knows who can add value, as opposed to two props who commentate, well like two props.
See LondonRed's back, pretending he's from London, but probably Walkden, as are a few others now we've reached the Final; not been through the topsy turkey grind of quarters and semis as we have on here, picking teams, giving our valuable expert opinion, and spending hours researching facts. No its Final time so I'm back😉🤣

Tell you what though guys, this pitch is great, the stadium seems eerie and our flag, brilliant. Pity you all can't be here.
