Socks rolled down chest out, running around trying to knock nine bells out of everybody, who does Lannon remind you of?

Oooh Paul Forber, Oooh Paul Forber.
I've said as much myself, has the making of a class player, just need to stop the odd brain fart (he piled into JJ or Griffin on the floor on Sunday and gave away a stupid penalty)and he really could go a long way.

One of his best games on Sunday although he did get away with a couple of things. Wound Griffin right up.

Absolutely, old Buffer. Couldn't believe when he was running round hitting everything in sight. And the ball steal off Griffin, master class. So which centre can he dominate on Sat? Just wish he'd learn to offload like Forber. Need to get them in conversation.

The commentators likened him to Roy Haggerty who,by coincidence, was Buffers second row partner at Saints. Wasn’t the brightest,Roy. Murphy’s story was that when Roy went on the tour to Australia his wife gave him a portable tv to take with him,so he could watch Corrie while he was out there. Theres also a great passport story which you’ve probably heard. Hope Lannon is smarter than Roy !

Found over the years you don't want a younger player trying to offload all the time as they get carried away, it's a skill that comes with age and maturity.
The best I've ever (fleetingly) seen in a Salford shirt was in his 30's but still the best in the business, John (Hoss) Cartwright.
Think other than him it was Ali lauatiti, it was like watching a Harlem Globetrotter demonstration.

Sadly I think Roy Haggerty died quite young, not so long ago. Mark Lee easy Buffers big mate and he has some good stories. Not heard the passport one.

Probably little $hithouse i love him to bits. Got everything in the bag to be a quality back rower i mean he's got a great little step on him and he's deceptively strong. Reminds me a little of John Bateman just needs to step up his go forward a little but i think after a few false dawns with him this is his year

Completely agree - my only complaint was he doesn’t always run it in with some venom. He was better in that department on Sunday but still needs to do it consistently.

I didn’t know he’d died so apologies if that was in bad taste. Roy was on the plane as it approached Oz,sat next to Gary Schofield,I think. They were given the immigration forms. Roy said to Gary that he’d never filled one in,so Gary said ,just copy mine. As they approach Sydney,Captain comes on and asks why there are 2 Gary Schofield’s on the plane. You did ask !

As far as Salford goes, for me, Shakers was pure class when it came to forwards offloading. Sublime. Top bloke too. I remember fondly our times running around the pitch at the Willows, having my ear bent as he grumbled about Kevin Tamati. Been quite a few over the years though, I always loved Gavin Miller at Cronulla, Nikau, Bradley Clyde, and even SBW in his prime.

I know some will turn their nose up, but I always enjoyed watching Baynes who had a decent offload game. Wasn’t always pretty but was usually entertaining. If he was still playing today I think this 6 again rule would have killed him - not the fittest.

A few Years ago Roy Haggertys Son was in the Red Devils academy Or was it the Son Of Karl Marriot or Both??
