Kind of makes me hope P&R remains then.
Understand NY want to base there players in the US which is as it should be, let's be honest Toronto aren't actually a Canadian team they are based in the North West and occasionally hop on a transatlantic flight and play a game over in Canada.
Hope this makes the RFL make certain stipulations for Ottawa or we could have double this headache in years to come.

I have a lot of sympathy for Toronto here. I accept they seem to be cuckoos in the north west but there is evidence that they are making some impact on Canada (and the rest of North America). I also believe that had it been another code, certain requests would have been made to the old boys and the visas would have been granted.

The problem is that they choose to base themselves here but use Visas intended to cover people based elsewhere but travelling here to play sport. They could either ask the RFL or Super League to act as a sponsor or set up a UK registered are of the business and obtain proper sportsperson visas but for whatever reason they haven’t (there might be legitimate reasons why not and it would take a while to sort). They seem to think that the RFL can somehow influence the government to change the immigration rules just for them - that obviously isn’t going to happen. As with everything Toronto, this should have been sorted from the outset.

Promo and relegation looks good again😉 What I can't understand is why they didn't go back to Oz/NZ when it started as they knew the rules.

Hindsight has 20/20 vision. If their plan didn’t allow for Covid then they’re in the majority. I have my reservations about the Toronto project but I don’t think there should be much criticism of them on this issue. If they knew then what they know now..............goes for many of us

If they knew then what they know now..............goes for many of us They know the rules and it was evident months ago that SuperLeague wasn't starting until v late so send them back home. Either their administrators are at fault or they're trying a fast one as they're potentially in danger of relegation. They should be penalised for not fulfilling their fixtures. Either relegated or 6/12 point penalty next year. The RL could lose Sky money and reputation over this. For it to just come to light now it's not a hindsight issue. Its their responsibility and they've failed.

It's as well not to start on Visas as the discussion will lead where hardly anyone wants to go.
Irrespective of the rules circumstances also matter especially unforeseen and unusual ones.

ALSO been reported that players have not been paid again , or have been paid late, , if this was Salford, the rfl would of been thrown out of the league. no question about it. so why is this not happening to toronto.

I can't remember any Occasion that Red Devils players have been paid late, Let's not Forget Toronto Don't take any Money from Central funding. I'm sure they'll get paid within a few weeks, I don't get all this Hostility I wonder if Another club within 50 miles of Greater Manchester had been Toronto Half of the dislike wouldn't have shown it's head Don't forget when they do have home matches they've a bigger Home average attendance the SRD And Wakefield If there's one team that need to be kicked out of Superleague due to their Stadium its Wakefield. Even though Torontos Stadium Is basic its still 100% Better the Wildcats And also London Broncos Trailfinders is far better than the Topcat stadium or whatever its called.

I agree with that, apart from Trailfinders. The pitch is like a heavily worn, threadbare, lounge carpet. Neat clubhouse, though

Neat clubhouse, though Apart from the pitch At least there's a big Stand with seating and its Free. Plus the Clubhouse is quite reasonably priced (Dont know about booze prices) For a Sporting stadium and a London One.

If you remember during the Koucash years there was a shocking injury crises and we came close to not being able to fulfil a game (Hull away I think).
Seem to remember the league threatening us with a big fine and points deduction.
Toronto should be punished to the same degree as we were threatened with, at least ours wasn't self imposed.
Anyone else see it being unlikely you'll see SBW in Toronto shirt again?
