Why's it a shambles?

I do wonder if the team isn't as fit as last season and does that then result in more injuries? Honestly just a question not throwing any sort of criticism at the staff. Could possibly be as a result of the shorter than normal off season and lack of knowledge on how to manage that compared to the perennial top 5 teams.
We seem to have had more injuries already this season than we did all last year, said it at the time that 1 of the biggest factors in us getting to the GF was we had virtually no lengthy injuries last year.

Sarginson has been our best player and we're down another forward.

Honestly just think it's genuinely bad luck. We have the same backroom staff as last year just not the luck

Surely Sarginson and Mossop injuries are just bad luck, catching up from last season where we were very lucky with injuries overall. Inu might’ve been undercooked, who knows, because I’m not sure he played much in the reserves

We have to trust Watto he's identified he's building for the back end of the season. It's a marathon not a sprint.
What type of injuries do Mossop and Sarginson have?

Think that's dangerous.
Get beaten week in week out at the start of the year and confidence plummets, I'd rather start with a solid foundation and try to build on it where we can.
All these early home fixtures must be turned into points, if for nothing else it attracts fans, constant defeats means the crowds dwindle.

Tonight’s thrashing of Warrington maybe puts our performance last week in a better light!

Tonight’s thrashing of Warrington maybe puts our performance last week in a better light! Warrington are atrocious! Widdop looks terrible.

We've played 4 and won one. The three teams we have lost to are in the top 5. We have beaten the only team we have played outside the top 5. So far, not as bad as some seem to think. I'll still feel better when we beat Wakefield. 😈

Early season defining game for me this.
Lose and we are firmly in the bottom 3 dog fight win(and it's more than possible) and we I believe will be in the scrap with teams looking to finish just outside the play off places.
Atkin in the key for me, he went OK against Leeds but needs to pull the strings more (I'm hoping he has a blinder and keep Brown out of the 13 but unlikely) and having Mossop back is a massive gain, he's the on field leader.
Think the time must surely be right to play Yates at #13, we're taking up an interchange the way we are playing him, in a London side where he was the tackling machine last year he stood out last season and regularly did the full 80.

I said before he even arrived that I think Widdop will be a flop, there's a whiff of rugby league of old where a NRL comes over to top up his pension, know he's only 30 but he missed most of last season and I think he realised that he'd struggle to get much game time this year.
Hope I'm wrong as on his day he's a brilliant entertainer to watch but somehow doubt it.
