Sounds dire, but workman like.

Thought Trevor Hunt and Purcill were excellent. Really described positioning well. On the basis of what they were saying,Childs did his usual but our halves ran it. Jones at 9 seemed to work but Seb needs more minutes. Not sure what I’m missing about Greg Burke’s impact but his stats must be good. Thoughts based on the radio commentary which might not reflect the way it was if watching live.

Abysmal. Same as last week but the opposition were the worst team in the league. Defence is all over the place and Brown really needs to start directing the team. Lolohea and Evalds are our only creative outlets and he needs to get them in space more often.
I’m not Burke’s biggest fan but when he came back on he was excellent - him and Dudson gave us some much needed energy. I’d rather have him or Johnson than Pauli who looks massively unfit. Jones defence was good but his passing is a bit slow.
Sarge was much improved- he passed it a couple of times! McCarthy was good. Ikahihifo looks decent. Williams was excellent going forward but poor in defence again. Greenwood needs to make way for Lannon. The rest were mediocre to poor.

It Wasn't a classic but two point's is Two points !! It'll be interesting to see the statistics on how many missed tackles we had, A lot I'm sure , Highlight of the game(Wasn't many) Rhys Williams try straight after Loloheas try. Nearly full length Of The pitch after catching the ball from the Kick off.

Well. We were defensively poor but it was an entertaining game to watch. I expected it to be tight for the first half as we wore down their pack in the hope of gaps opening up later on but we made far too many handling errors and missed tackles which meant they gained too many easy yards.
Evalds, Sarge and Tui were v good. Williams v hour going forward and his tackling is ok but positionally he isnt Dudson, Seb and Pauli the pick of the forwards with Yates going pretty well. Good job we were playing Toronto though! Some quality moments and I thought we did very well to wrestle the game back from 16-16. But that was after thinking we were going to run away with it at 16-4.
Still plenty to work on

It's going to take time. We've always been slow starters, probably because we have to continually rebuild our team and this year will be no different. The more points we can pick up in the next six weeks the better, as I think we'll get better and more efficient as the season goes on. I'll take a mediocre two points over a valiant defeat every day of the week.

I was at a different game. Toronto looked the better side, offloaded well, made a lot of yards and SBW was class. We looked good going forward but need to tighten up the defence. This will be a tough year as there is no clear relegation candidate.

As bad as we were I’m not sure I agree about Toronto being any better. They flung it about a lot but there was no structure or patience to their attack at all - it looked like desperation rugby. We also made huge errors for every try - at least we crafted a couple of ours.
RUTB - genuine question, what did Pauli do so well? I respect your opinion but apart from two decent drives I thought he was very poor. His knock on with the line begging wasn’t great and he looked so slow and unfit. I’m sure if he wasn’t so massive we’d hardly know he was there at times. Compare him to Ikahihifo who looks quicker, sharper and plays the ball much faster. He also broke more tackles and looks better defensively.

Thought he was one of their worst players, seemed frightened to take on the line, got the ball away as quickly as he could, not to mention the knock ons.

Toronto upped their game from last week ; they are going to play an offloading game and last week they dropped the ball , this week it seemed to stick every time . We need to tighten up in defence - the last Toronto try was a shocker defensively from my spot in the South Stand . Reasons to be cheerful: Sarge - from his first two tackles on SBW I thought he would be MOM Rhys Williams try - worth the entrance fee alone Seb - continues to be a monster going forward . Connor Jones - didn’t do much wrong in his spell which means Joey can be used as he was last year .
could write an essay on where to sharpen up but I’m off for a beer .....

I can't wait to see that Rhys Williams try again. He's such a step up from Olpherts! Surprised that the Cas fans reckon he's the signing of the season. I'm sure they will change their mind in due course 😂

We are a hypocritical bunch on here. So many changes from last season including our talisman. It will take TIME and we have plenty of that so please be patient.
Seb again outstanding and hope we can sign him FT. I think Moose has gone and if Catalan come sniffing let him have a pension pay day.
If the Walker news is true we are short of props v Fartown as Seb `Loan Tied`. Maybe Yates to blindside prop & bring Flash in as then we will be more creative.
Too much 1 man driving again and I agree Kevin Brown has to take the mantle of Chief Playmaker. Handling once every 6 tackles is just not right. He needs to be 2nd receiver to create chances for PP etc who should be terrorising centres not props.
Believe Inu is injured - anyone any news?
