Matchday e programme available from Saints web site. Very self indulgent, obviously.

Don’t know how to start a separate subject so will stick it on here. Anyone else a bit confused with the way the fixtures have been worked out? As far as I can see, we are at home for four of the first five rounds and away for four out of the last five rounds. Add to this no home league fixture in July, seems a bit unbalanced to me. Just on fixtures, has there been a reserve fixture list out ?

I’ve not seen a proper list but the Supporters Trust Twitter account shared a link that you could use to add all the fixtures to your Google or iPhone calendar if that helps?

We’ve gone for an enormous bench. No backup hooker. Burke starts at 13.

It seems that we are forever going to blighted with losing dodgy ref calls. All I ask for is consistency...

We are not a team yet, it will take a couple of games, players are switching off at the wrong moment.

If the rfl are hell bent on improving the game, they surely need to look at 2 refs now like the NRL. The game is too quick and not possible for one ref to see everything happening on the field. They are missing key decisions which are killing teams.

Game summed up by that complete switch off at the ruck. We're disjointed and it's going to take a while for things to gel in this outfit.

Lots of silly penalties that have been penalties. McCarthy which gave them another set for the first try. Greenwood and several occasions. I'm not impressed with him at all. Early days but he never impressed me at Hull KR either. Didn't like going for 2 points at the start of the game. It's Saints away; you need tries. Some poor defence on the edges--players not marking up to their opposite number when there has been no overlap. Hopefully this is a communication issue--both tries on Williams Wong could have been prevented. I really don't know why wingers come in so much I stead of trusting their teammates. Tui came in for the first try and didn't need to. Hopefully these are ironed out as we gel. A lot of new starters. Didn't think the starting lineup was smart either. Yates is a hard worker, top tackler and good engine. I think he should have started to help stem their go forward. He isn't an impact guy. I also would have started one of Seb or Pauli Pauli to match up to their pack size; or brought one of them on earlier. I'd also consider Atkin or Jones on the bench so that Lussick can be kept fresher. Or start one of them and bring Lussick on after 20 mins with one of PP and Seb.

I wouldn't really worry .... that Saints team will probably be almost impossible to compete with by the look of things. They had three top class players missing as well. Salford looked OK, no better, but outclassed by a long way. If you only have 35% of the ball against a top side, things are rarely going to work out. Mid table for me

Tough night at the office. Ref was a disgrace. Tui aside I thought our defence was pretty good which is a strange thing to say after such a whopping defeat. They are forward trained in their development given they have a world cup to win. Chill chaps we will be ok 👍

Well that was pretty horrendous. Yeah it’s week one but we had a full squad and have had three warm up games. Wigan and Wire didn’t look so rusty and definitely didn’t look as disinterested.
Lolohea had a mare but even then he seemed closest to cracking Saints open (until we crumbled). His head went down which is a bad sign though knowing his history. They targeted the right side of our defence in the first half and Lolohea and Welham did not do well.
Lussick had a poor game as well - didn’t look sharp and we should have a sub hooker next game. Can understand what people mean about Greenwood- he’s a bit daft like his brother but I can see the appeal. Is Sarginson allergic to passing?
From what I saw Pauli Pauli is way off. As soon as he came on they immediately started targeting the left side of our defence and his positioning was terrible. His tackling technique was also poor. It’s not like he made up for it elsewhere. Long way to go.
On the plus side Dudson and Evalds have still got it. Ikahihifo looks really good. Yates looked ok as well and I like JJ mk 2.
Oh well, on to next week.

Defence awful but I really don't understand about all the lying on allowed and the Saints defence being quick...they only had 6 yards to run most of the night, never back 10.
Like last night really poor reffing, but basically we were v poor.
