If (bit of praying from us all) we make it I wonder if the club will use any cash not used for player recruitment to help with promotion?
Also wonder if the Doc will resurface at some point and jump on the bandwagon?
Have to admit I don't actually know what the format is so not sure how many home games we'll get?

I think if we finished 4th we’d have one maximum? Finish 5th and it’s none.
Not sure what you mean about Koukash- he still attends games (was sat in front of me on Sunday and was on the pitch before the game) and Tweets his support. We can’t expect anything more.
As mentioned on the other thread- some Sky exposure will help massively with promotion but yes I’d expect a big push if we make it.

I didn't know he still attended games so he kind of already does what I was asking about. I know he's a derisive figure but if as rumoured Hastings was financed by him I can't thank him enough for bringing the best player I've seen in a Salford shirt in my lifetime.

Yeah he was there with his kids and a friend. I’ll be honest he did put me off when he was in charge and I wasn’t a fan of some of his antics (although it was his club and his money) but he has been nothing but decent since he stepped aside.

are Salford on sky again this season, apart from if we make the p/offs?

Let's be honest, MK is a maverick and in the life of the Club, caused absolute chaos, but saved the Club.Nobody else put their hand in their pocket.
So looking at the positives he was an owner and saved the Club probably for7 years..his 5 + paying for Hastings. And that's how we should probably acknowledge him

Also wonder if the Doc will resurface at some point and jump on the bandwagon? Have to admit I don't actually know what the format is so not sure how many home games we'll get? I imagine the money will be put back into the club to help increase the longevity. It's worth noting that if Toronto get promoted they won't get any of the Sky money and circa £2m will be split between all of the other 11 clubs in the League. That's another £182k a year or £15k per month in the clubs bank account. That will give us a massive boost! I'm not sure whether people are aware of this, or if it has been changed in recent years but let's say we do finish 5th and Warrington finish 4th and we beat Wire away and then go onto lose our next game. We get 4th placed money instead of 5th for getting further in the play-offs. With regards for the Doc, I had a brief chat with him at the game on Sunday and he seems very well. He has the biggest box at the AJ Bell (it must seat 15-20 people), but he only had around 5 guests with him on Sunday. I would like to see Marwan come back for the investment he could bring to the club but as only an investor and nothing else. Preferably, I'd like to see us have a board of wealthy backers who are all putting money in, in return of sponsorship. The club is definitely moving in the right direction, we have a great coach, great CEO we just need a bit more cash and we will be challenging every season.

Think the break for us has come at a good time especially with warrington playing this week with a short turn around to. Out the 5 remaining I thought we would struggle against hull and leeds but today's result was amazing. It would be good if giants can win tomorrow. Do you get more money if you finish in the top 5??

Think the ideal scenario would be to finish 4th and Warrington 5th, we get the home advantage and we'd have every chance or beating Warrington at home.

Finishing 3rd would be even better. Can lose the first game and still get a home game after that to progress to the semi.

Making the 5 is the main goal now, see Leeds as the stumbling block and you'd think that Hull KR will be incredibly motivated for that last game as there is every likelihood that them or the loser of the other Sunday game will be heading down.

I've just had a good squizz at the fixtures and I'm conflicted.
The last weekend sees Leeds play Warrington at home, I'd love to see Leeds finish bottom for no other reason as I'd kill to see the RFL and SL try and keep them in SL and the rest of the league go nuts, but you'd think that Leeds winning would help us finish higher than 5th.
London have games against the other relegation fodder so potentially can be masters of there own destiny.
The RFL must be rubbing their hands with glee as this is all going to be pure drama, the only thing I wonder is if they will move all relevant games to KO at the same time during the last weeks games.

what i like about the team now is the winning mentality. 2017 was a great season but we lost it towards the end of it we lost 8 out of the last 9 games. Hope Huddersfield can do us a favour today as it will give us breathing space when we play wire next.
