In Watson we trust and all that but Welham must either look unbelievable in training or be sleeping with someone. He is retiring, looks like Sa’u will leave and Inu is off contract so why not give Bibby a run at centre? I just don’t get it.

I like Bibby and he offers great flexibility to the squad but we have seen 1 class game from him at Catalan when let's not forget he was up against a 2nd who'd been thrown in the deep end at the 11th hour.
I would prefer Bibby over Welham though that is true.
Are we thinking PP will be a 2nd row or interchange prop?

That is a massive set of forwards, can't think I've ever seen bigger at Salford.
Tomkins and Mc/Burke to miss out for me.

I saw Whiteley play centre a few weeks later and he looked fine - didn’t get scored on once! Bibby scored/assisted in the two games following the Cats game. He had one game where he mucked up two chances to put his winger away and thats it - never seen again at centre. Seems unreasonably harsh to me?

Agree re Welham - absolutely no point playing him ahead of Bibby now that he wont be here next year.
MR - Burke HAS to be in - as the only real ball/link player in the pack now that Flan aint considered.

Welham still lives in Hull so the 5 hour return journey taking its toll but has said he is retiring.

I can't see anything but defeat to Saints. We have a terrible record against them and our squads over the years have suffered with a mental block when playing them. As long as we give our all, and after last week they should be looking to put in a performance, I'll be happy enough.

Looking forward to this one - penance for missing the HKR reverse last Saturday. Even treated the missus for her birthday to a match and coach ticket (last of the big spenders). Early dart from work, straight up to Eccles for a few tasty beverages before enjoying the inevitable heartbreak at the TW@stadium. Its what late Spring / early Summer was made for!

Well that was a disgraceful decision by Childs.
I wonder why people don't watch the game...well it's idiots like him...no excuse this time mate...lots of time, no pressure...the ball was lost in the tackle. End of, Child's you shouldn't draw a wage for that...you're not up to the job...it's Salford again who suffer...this time your not even up to Championship games

Absolutely gutted. It's very rare I feel like this after a defeat, but genuinely sick for our lads after that.
To come back from 16 - 0 down and show that amount of courage to come was outstanding. Just goes to show what this group is capable of.
Robbed again at the death by a Childs howler. How he could possibly say he has control of the ball is a joke.

If that had been the other way around it'd be chalked off no danger.

I’ll say nowt on the ref or decisions - it’s done and not going to change.
At 16-0 down and some sorry attempts at defending I thought we were in for a long night but until the last ten minutes they played the gameplan to a T. Lui was obviously the main man but Inu had his best game yet. Before someone slags him for the short kickoff I’m not sure he meant it - his eye was swollen shut and he was struggling.
The pack was superb again. Dudson was quality and if Jones can keep playing like that he leaves with my blessing.
It has to be said though, we threw another game away. We had them down in their half and let them break before the Coote try - I can live with that. But for the last try first Griffin flops on and then Dudson holds down. Two ridiculous penalties. We should have easily closed the game out. Griffin had been brilliant until then as well but it’s such a stupid mistake. They both probably get a pass though due to the ref controversy- Twitter has lost it.
