Robbed plain and simple. The game has lost a lot of credibility with floating fans like myself. Time and time again the refs are making decisions based on nothing more than an educated guess, it’s now too fast for one refl and until it changes a lot of fans like me won’t waste their hard earned on it.

Though I would again see my first Saints away win only to be robbed by an appalling decision. Anyone who says the game is not bent has to look at the decisions Saints got against Leeds and now this tonight. No way would that have been given if it was Salford. Great following tonight again, loud and proud😀

Thought the lads were robbed tonight but thought Burke should have been brought on as soon as Walmsley came back on, he was in his face every time he got the ball in the first half. 26mins first half. 30 seconds second half. Big mistake Mr Watson.

WHY cant we see a game out for god sake. 4 points drop now from last minute trys from wigan now saints. we be in the top 3 by now. The other bad thing is they played that well you know other clubs will defiantly be sniffing around our players now. I do feel that george griffin needs dropping hes just a penalty machine and offers nothing going forward. If we play like we did tonight (well not the first 10 and last 10 minutes) we will beat Hull KR but i predict it will be the same performance as in the cup

Griffin is playing out of his skin. If you play big minutes,as he does, then you’ll make more mistakes. Logic. He was rightly penalised as was Doodson but, bloody hell, they gave everything. To be honest,at a time where we need to give support,to suggest the lad should be dropped is daft.

I’ve not felt that gutted after a loss for a long long time, in fact it stung worse than the last minute Marty Smith drop goal from a couple of years ago! I feel physically sick and probably will for a few days. Once they got that first try back the whole place lifted and you could see it was just a matter of time before the inevitable happened.
Fantastic performance from the boys but I’m too sick to see the positives at the moment.

I could not fault one player tonight. To almost beat a team top of the league unbeaten at home and by far the best in SL is some achievement. This is team touted by many pundits to finish bottom of the league. To actually survive as we did with repeat sets constantly in the last 20 mins is remarkable. To be beaten by an obvious try that should never have been given is heartbreaking.

No end of positives from that performance. The heart, desire, work rate, skill was plain for all to see. I’ve longed to see Salford routinely in games like that - it had a real top of the table feel and quality to it. Both teams went for it, real end to end stuff, every try, apart from one or two diff ones, had to be earned through determination and skill. It had everything except a win for us. One day we will win there
Gutted to have lost it but privileged to have seen such a great game and a fantastic performance by Salford. To score 30 points at a team that is averaging only 14 against, to score 30 consecutive points there. Just brilliant. A few bits of smarter play or a bit of luck would have seen us home.
We are competing in every match and against every team. It’s great to watch. I’m loving this Salford team. The best while I’ve been watching. We should make the most of enjoying the Lui-Hastings partnership. It is pure class

I think we have the makings of a great team, pity we are poor (skint) and can’t keep our best players, Saints had to win by hook or by crook. Watson, Gleeson and Greg Brown are doing an amazing job and deserve tons of credit. We must stop criticising individual players, we don’t know anything of their personal lives and is easy to destroy somebody’s confidence by only highlighting negatives. I for one think George Griffin his having a great season and I do hope he stays. Well done the team and backroom Staff last night you were beaten by a dodgy decision.

Surprisingly good - did far more minutes than anyone expected him to. Made some decent runs.

Looking for scapegoats is not a good look.
The lads were great and deserved far better.

All I asked for was a performance from the lads after last week, and they delivered. They showed that they deserve to be up with the big boys and they need to keep this belief. I only hope that such a narrow loss doesn't impact on their morale. As gutting as it is, they need to maintain their focus and efforts towards next week and beyond.
Performing that well on tv could also sway some armchair fans to come along in the future.
Proud of the team this morning.

It sums it up with the amount of praise given by saints fans for Salford on their fans forum and social media. Virtually all admitting the best side lost.
I for one feel that when we have come up against the big guns in the past we often seem to have a mentality problem, which more often than not sees us beat before we get on the field. Last night and against Wire proves this isn't the case and we can mix it with the best.
We should take a lot of heart from this and Watto should be extremely proud. If we can get some consistency now and keep a clean bill of health I honestly feel a top 4/5 spot is achievable.
