Well Greenwood and Sarginson not banned after the match last week ( Ben Westwood got 4 matches for a tap head butt). Now isn't that unusual!
Oh, of course, they play for a struggling side.......Wigan.

If We were to look at this decision in a cynical way It would appear that the RFL Want a team who currently are Bobbins
but have big attendances to progress to the latter stages of the Superleague playoffs, But that can't be the reasoning behind this decision?? Of course not.🤫
And of Course his 4 game ban ends in time for Good Friday Home to Us!!

Anyone bringing any newbies for the game? I should have 3 or 4 (although one is a Pie Eater). Will Wigan travel in numbers or will their poor form affect away their following? Pretty sure the last couple of years they haven't brought as many as usual but I could be wrong on that.
I see a lot on here still aren't confident of a Salford win but surely that's down to historical beatings we've had and not based on current form and logic?

Heart says Salford but head says Wigan.
Might have a guest with me on Sunday, they are used to shouting for the other les Diables Rouges so I'll spend most of the game explaining what is going on.

Probably not a better time to be playing this lot, but they're a wounded animal at the moment and knowing them they'll turn up on Sunday. We need to start well as if they get momentum early I think we could be in trouble.
No football this Sunday and weather forecast is OK so hopefully it's a good turnout.

Fickle lot are the Pies fans! Big derby against Saints or Wire and they'll pull in 15k+.... against Hudds the other week it must have been half of that (can't find the attendance anywhere). At least our crowds are consistently sh1te.😂 Am I wrong in thinking that at The Willows we used to pull in between 7k-8k for a Wigan game? Maybe it's just rose tinted glasses but I'm sure we consistently pulled in decent figures for Wigan, Leeds, Hull etc. Now it seems 6k is about the ceiling at the AJ and that's probably only happened half a dozen times since we moved there.😪 |

I think we pulled in 7/8k on the odd occasion but I'm pretty sure that we were mostly around 5.5k for the bigger games.
Our crowds were pretty poor at The Willows mostly but we did have the occasional big turnout.
It does seem that around 6k is the top marker for us at Barton, although I think our biggest so far is 7200 for the first game under Koukash?

Must have just seemed bigger crowds as North Stand was always pretty full in big games and The Shed used to get overrun with away fans as well. Anyone know where you can get access to archives of Rugby League attendances? Easy for footy matches but like finding rocking horse cr@p if you search for RL games! |
