We just don’t have that little bit extra to beat the top teams. Just our luck they had 3 players back today and one of them set up three try’s.
There was lots of effort and skill but in the end it just seemed to be inevitable that it would be a defeat

Lam nailed the Wigan performance in round up on GMR by describing the link between Burgess, Gildart and Williams as something built from years of playing together since childhood. These lads know each others games inside out and frankly both Burgess and Gildart could rinse us for pace any day. Wigan won due to a few moments of play at high pace that we couldn't live with.
I won't get too hung up about the loss as I fully believe we will be fine this season as when all bodies are fit we will easily finish at least 9th or higher.

Watto said in the press conference That our tackling was none existant.If 9th is fine then I agree with you As for some of the Wigan teams I have seen the three you mention would be holding the coats.But I do agree with the coach our tackling was none existant. |

Some ridiculous comments on social media, people need to get a grip. Wigan haven’t been playing great but they’re still a top side with class players (especially on the edges). We’ll be ok

Big nose was easily Mom today and tore our right hand side to pieces.
I have serious doubts about Turrgets defence, he puts so much pressure on his centre due to his weak defence. I know he’s good going forward but Jones is easily the pack leader and puts performance into comparison

Not rubbing it in as I’m honestly gutted the dates overlapped with this game but, I’m in Malaysia so hoping to wake up to a win! Malaysia that's Nothing I'm going to the Azores in a few days and going to visit a Sperm whale museum 🙏 |

Just got up and watched the tries - some horrendous defending by the looks of it. It’s been like this for 30 odd years - they get your hopes up and then dissapoint. I hate Wigan so this one stings!

The game could have gone either way tbf as there were brainfarts from both sides ....Williams kicked out on the full 5 mins before half time and we score off two successive sets then Manfredi goes walkies and Walker mugs him....then after keeping Burgess and Gildart quiet for 50 mins we let them walze down the left for fun ....also interesting that Bibby and Sio were both kept quiet by Manfredi and Sarginson ...
