Dixon suggest you go to the game and perhaps watch it. He was injured towards the end and still dug in. Amazing guy. He ran the game, put in 200% in both attack and defence. Sadly Rob Lui and Flash now seem too slow to support him.
On a positive note thanks to the Supporters Trust for great interviews with Watson, as usual each week, and this week Walker and Chamberlain. Brilliant. Worth joining just for those each week.

Dixon if you look at the stats for the match: Hastings
Most metres made of either team 176 Most carries of either team 27 Most tackles of Salford backs 19
Suppose he should have made the coffee and cooked you a burger though

We all know that we could have won that game, but we didn't and after the Saints game we learn't a lot from it, hopefully we will learn from yesterday.

Own worst enemies yesterday, way too many missed tackles and gift wrapped Wigan most of their tries. First half we had probably 75% territory and possession and looked a bit clueless near their line. Just like the Leeds game we then decided to go to sleep for 10 minutes and got caned by shipping 3 tries. Wigan were their usual self, milking pens, slowing us down at the PTB and they got the majority of the calls (as Wigan do!) but we really didn't help ourselves. As soon as you drop off a tackle (or 5 in one instance with Hardaker) it puts you in the back foot. The defensive line then struggles to get back onside and you give a penalty away. Would love to see the stats but bet we missed 50 tackles yesterday and that'll win you nowt. A few players had off days or were totally ineffective (our left side created very little) and Olpherts had a bit of a shocker. But you're gonna get that with him, he's either brilliant or bobbins!š Still don't understand how Williams managed to outpace him from 40m out either as Williams isn't exactly express pace.
It's got to be a mental thing against "big clubs" like I said before the match. We beat ourselves yesterday and we're better than that. As for people spouting off on Social Media, just don't read it! Typical kneejerk reactions and people not intelligent to process their disappointment in a sane and balanced manner. We're all pi$$ed off with the result but this is Salford. You cry into your beer, have a bit of a moan and then move on. We're still doing great with resources available and we'll bounce back. Get a few more bodies on board and then there'll be competition for places which should keep everyone on their toes.
Btw, what's with the atmosphere? It was sh1te again... do we need some sort of singing committee to get it going or what? The place is like a morgue!š

So we have lost to Leeds, Saints, Wigan and Cas away. Not games that we would normally look at winning. I'd have settled for being 4th with 4 wins from 8 at the start of the season. Next two games are tough, but definitely winnable. They could define our season.

Suggest Dixon and some others watch the game ! Hastings CANNOT win a game by himself !!! The guy was immense again obviously carrying injuries his right thigh is heavily strapped and he's also got a rib injury but still marshals the team and leads by example and never shirks a tackle .As highlighted by others and Watson himself our right edge defensively is poor , our middles match up every week our left edge holds it own . Too many had poor game on the left Lui needs to step up he's pedestrian at times , Turgut was poor today but season wise hes's been great Chamberlain reads the game better than Welham but was too easily brushed off and Olpherts is marmite I'm afraid , shocking apparent lack of pace when " chasing Williams " ! Strange Lawton wasn't introduced a waste of a sub for me , he might have matched up against Greenwood in that second half ? Options for right edge ?? Choose from Sau great going forward but poor defensively , Welham who offers little either way or maybe Inu if he's signed , maybe play Chambelain right wing Sau and Inu centres and Bibby on other wing ??
Also our structures are so predictable , doesn't take long to work them out , we need off the cuff stuff from someone .
As for doom and gloom , get a grip we've just lost three games Saints, Cas and Wigan we could and should have won , when could we last say that ? Frustration yes but the Reds are rising !

Dixon, Not sure what game you watched but it was not the one I watched? Hasting ran his blood to water, in the second half he was injured but refused to come off. It was not him that got outpaced on the right edge twice with the same move. Wigan are a quality side & with all its big guns back yesterday, it was always going to be difficult. I would say Lui needs to take a look at his form, seems a little off the pace to me. We were always in the game, they just had a little bit more quality in open play & this was reflected in the score at the end of the game, sorry but cannot believe the mentality of some fans slagging off Hastings!

Couldn't make yesterdays game and had the distinct misfortune of listening to it in the car.
Alan Hunt is such a bitter soul, so glad he's not got anything to do with the club any more. Can't believe that the BBC can't find anyone slightly more eloquent or educated, sorry but the man's a total and utter dullard.
Hastings is carrying knocks and needs a break, problem is there is no replacement, if Wood was fit think we might have a solution but until then can't see it happening.

I think a lot of people were too quick to jettison Junior after our display against Catalans as well. Whilst we all know he has his limitations (releasing his winger) we definitely missed his brute force yesterday. Bibby was up against an international centre in Sarginson and can't remember him getting round him once. This isn't a criticism of Bibby, merely an observation that he was brilliant against Catalans but you also have to bear in mind he was up against Whitley who is a 2nd rower isn't he? He won't get that amount of space or have a pace/footwork advantage every week against genuine quality centres. Junior can smash through a brick wall and we probably missed that sheer physicality yesterday.

I did not say Hastings was a bad player. I said he bad game. He didnāt make one break all afternoon, didn't one of their half back score three tries and the other one went through for another. You are not trying to tell he was injured at 3 o'clock are you.By the way their was a lot of people I spoke to after the game said the same.Don't take it so personal.Life is all about opinions let's hope he as a better game next week if he's fit that is.

Dixon personifies the bitterness many Salford fans show in defeat. We as a club seem to have dozens of them who cannot take defeat as they should.
As for Hastings - he has revitalised the club and even the statistics shown above demonstrate how wide of the mark Dixon and his pals - as usual - are.

Dixon why don't you look at the stats. Better statistically than any other player on the pitch. You amaze me. He drove the team all afternoon, made more yardage, more carries, tackled more than any other back. what is exactly you want him to do. It's a team game and the rest of the team weren't as good as him. So he takes the blame. The half back who scored 3 tries had 3 run ins and nearly dropped two. Think you could be on the next Specsavers ad.

But Dixon you did say that Wigan would be glad that we had signed him instead of them, which to my mind goes against what you have just said in your reply. Why did Wigan put an offer in for him,for this season? In my opinion he was carrying an injury at the start and got a couple of knocks during the game but gave 100% as he always does both on and off the field.

Friend I didn't say he did not give 100%.I think everyone in a Salford shirt gave the same 100%.So everyone on here thought he had a good game quite a few who don't come on here thought the he did not.Thats the way the mop flops.Don't take personal.
