Sa’u isn’t exactly blessed with pace though? And if he can get his arms free to offload to his winger like that does it matter if he isn’t that fast? Shenton has built a career on that skill. I think we need to judge him at the end of the season when he’s faced a few top class centres and hopefully learned from it. We won’t know though if we throw Sa’u right back in.
I’m not usually a fan of messing with positions but Sa’u at loose looks interesting and worth a go. As SS says though, he’s not the ball handling type so would need to spell him with Flash/Burke.
