Roby phenomenal. Watto should get our hookers to watch the video of him.
Phil Clarke said 'Salford were on the end of 2 poor decisions in the 1st half'. Sadly cost us two tries. Holbrook said it's the best they've played.
Sadly Olpherts and Welham between them cost us 3 tries but thought our front row Dudson, Murray and Ben N were brilliant, stopping probably the best front row in the League. Maybe time for the return of Chamberlain and Bibby. What's happened to zJohnson?
Mossop hamstring.

Olpherts did OK for me but Welham was turnstiling and just wondered whether he is up to it nowadays. Bibby / Chamberlain for Welham maybe. Or dare I say it Inu - but the cheque would have to be post dated!

According to Widnes Inu has already left so I wonder where, my guess would be London for him and anyone else half decent that escapes.

Welham is prone to jump out the line in defence but he's had a few decent games recently going forward so I guess you have to take the rough with the smooth. We're going to struggle to get players within our budget that tick all the boxes so guess it's a matter of Watto having to turn a blind eye to a few deficiencies. Olpherts being a prime example... ropey as f*ck under the high ball and makes more than his fair share of handling errors but brings the ball out of defence well and has actually tightened up his defence massively and put some great hits in this season.

I feel bad saying this but I worry that Olpherts, Bibby and Welham are 'top of the Championship' calibre players rather than SL standard. Inu is a penalty machine but can be good on his day. I'd much prefer Chamberlain to be back in the squad than the other options we have available.

Anyone know where I can find the results for the half-time draw? Didn't hear it announced and can't find it on Twitter or the club website and worried I may be the lucky £1m winner.😁

I think we were well beaten in the end by a much better team - but not due to a lack of effort or anything on our part. Their defence was superb, we didn't really have a sniff of their line all game.
I don't think we helped ourselves at times though, our kicking game was pretty poor. I thought we went for a bomb far too often, with a poor chase to back it up. To me, it just seemed a case of "get it up in the air and hope for the best" rather than any sort of tactically-placed kick. Let in a few soft tries as well.
Not too disappointed though. For us, games against the likes of Saints (and I would've said Leeds before their game tonight) are almost like a free shot at 2 points - it's more important that we beat the teams like us, which we have done so far.

The best team by some distance won the game. Don’t bomb an Aussie fullback and then give him loads of time to collect. Disappointed that we didn’t hit more grubbers but,in the end,it wouldn’t have mattered

Let's get things into perspective. 2 tries off mistakes by the officials (according to Sky) and a try when we panicked (Sau) makes a one sided scoreboard.
Do agree our attack wasn't great, but Saints did defend on or in front of the edge. Offsides and forward passes seem no more til we get two refs (touch judgeswaste of time)
Think about 12-4/ 16/8 would have been a fair result

Watto summed it up really well too.
I do think you need to come at Saints with something different from your previous performances and having said all that it was a much more even game that it looked or is made to look by the score.

Welham is poor and is going to cost us against the top teams as he has no pace. I think it’s time he drops to squad filler and chamberlain and bibby are given a crack: his pace has gone and he try’s to compensate by jumping the line. This may work against lesser teams but the big boys know and it’s only a matter of time with the rest

I don't think that singling out players helps at any time. The defeat was caused by a lot of things, some well within the control of the coaching staff and players as a whole.
The script we followed was a well thumbed read by Saints coaches. They answered every question we asked. That's why we lost.
Any ref or player decision, no matter how stupid was icing not the cake.
