It was a good win that we almost messed up with sin bins and red cards. I think Hastings' hit on GOB was a bad one personally and I wouldn't be surprised if he got more than a 1 game ban for it.

Totally agree with you on the latter as regards GOB. He took some hard hits yesterday, some legitimately and some not. I really cant comment as regards Hastings sending off as I didn't see it being in the West Stand and have not watched any replays. As regards so called fans giving GOB abuse, like Salfordslim refers to, GOB didn't want to leave in the first instance, however money worked both ways and he always gave 100 % to the cause and basically saved us rom oblivion with that famous drop goal. The man has my upmost respect and has been very professional in every way, his interviews and comments towards other players and teams were always gracious. I noticed yesterday when he came off, he was totally knackered, his face and head looked like he`d been 10 rounds with Mike Tyson and still he was congratulating the Salford Players and hugging a few of em, having his picture taken with Salford fans and there kids. He didn't deserve any abuse and some of the treatment dished out yesterday and on a final note I wish him all the best for the future. As for Obrien. The clubs version at the time was they got an offer for Obrien they turned it down he said he did not want to go.Then he came back and said he had changed his mind.So he did want to go. I think he had realised Evalds was going to play fullback. So thats why he left and for the money of course.Their is nothing wrong with that but let's have the story straight at least as the club see it.

I know I am very much n the minority and probably wrong about the JH tackle but looking at it in slow mo - JH had an open hand - not a fist and the key thing is GOB slipped though whether we can rebuild George Carman or Perry Mason he will get a ban. Does he have any previous?

Does he have any previous? Not sure if any Disciplinary Bans from another country are Considered. I've read the only thing he got dropped from his Oz team is Is a Argument with his head coach in front of the full squad on a Couple of occasions. Down to his big Ego apparently

Over complicating this. George Carman would struggle. Jackson did him and deserves his punishment. I hope he stays, though.

The League Express front page might be the final nail in the coffin for him - the main picture is of the point Hastings arm hits O’Brien’s face.

Oddly, I wonder if this tackle might dampen other clubs’ enthusiasm for him. With the ‘job’ already 9/10ths done, perhaps the timing is in our favour. I can hope..

League weekly has Leeds and Hull interested in Hastings now. Hull is worst case for us as they need a half and also hooking cover for Houghton so they could be after both Jackson and Joey.

It will probably be Leeds with being nearer to Sydney. If he goes he goes. That's the way the mop flops.Personally if he isn't at Salford I hope he is back in the NRL he is to good to be playing in a mediocre Super League.

Looking more like Hull. Possible swap with Albert Kelly.

2 matches for Hastings. One for Burgess. Anyone know if he can use EGP to reduce it to 1 game?

Maybe as Jackson is now out of the spotlight it may just help the future.
Albert Kelly can be brilliant but he causes trouble off the field and is injury prone - is it what we want? Even subsidised.
Maybe he could be `the fans signing` for 2019 as he (Jackson) may just go with that. A nice little share issue could do the trick.
