Well soon as we went down a man in secind half thought Toronto would nick the win, but wow we dug in and thoroughly deserved the 2 points, bit of a hot head moment from Hastings at the end, think that'll be him out for the rest of the qualifiers, just hope we can get another win without him in the team to stay in super leagie

Thought Hastings was a little bit unlucky. No malice in the shot, just a clumsy lunge. Burgess red card was fair enough, was pretty bad. Hopefully, the hard work is done at this stage, and it wont matter too much.

I thought the opposite, both sendings off,but whereas Burgess was a lazy lunge Hastings appeared to ‘do’ him. Ironic that we had 2 deserved sendings off against the Thugpack Imagine had it been the other way round !

Thought Ed Chamberlain had a great game. Seems to gone under the radar a bit since the arrival of Hastings and Lussick but he’s been a fantastic signing. Unbelievable he couldn’t get into that abysmal Widnes side.

Think Hastings is the obvious catalyst but Chamberlain in his own way is just as important.
Hastings problem is his youghfull exuberance.

One more win needed. How great if that came at Leeds of all places.

Hopefully the panel will deem it 'sending off sufficient' but some how can't see it, especially with us playing Leeds next week but who knows. Like I say, I haven't seen it yet but anything more than 1 match will be unjust because he's clearly not that sort of player. All in all great win though.

Can see both being at least a 1 game suspension, Hastings the worst of the 2 easily. Shame as no need with 1 minute to go in game.

I thought it was a pretty poor show and that second half wasn’t enjoyable to watch. Us fans bang on about Toronto being dirty but We haven’t got a leg to stand on after that. First half showed them up, second half thought the job was done and phoned it in. Conceded a couple of tries and heads went.
On the plus side it almost guarantees us safety. We’ll have to win one more without Hastings though.
Thought Lannon was good today bar the early mistake.

FWIW I thought our 2nd half performance looked like we had it won and too laid back. Can't argue that the right team won

The Hastings try was one of the best I’ve seen for a while. The second half performance was a bit pathetic in my opinion - I was looking forward to the game but that soured it for me. The team isn’t good enough to put their feet up after a good half. Yes the right team won but that’s mainly because Toronto are terrible. Apologies if I sound overly negative but it has wound me up for some reason. Mainly because I think the team are better than that.

Great result for us in the sense that we won but also gives Watto an excuse to get stuck into them this week. Only listened on radio but chamberlain sounded mom. Can we now stop the burgess lovin?been a poor signing and we can do better. Does anyone know how long Tomkins and brinning are out for (guessing the season) as not sure who I would play SH next week yet

Luke Burgess is a good prop, but bedevilled by injury. Next week,I think JLJ is fit enough to play but I’d probably go with Wood provided Tomkins is fit. Can’t see Brining playing at Leeds in his first game back. Not fussed really. Hastings has given us the confidence we needed and I don’t see that dropping off when he’s out of the side but we will miss his control around the park. I’d love it,love it,if we could secure safety at Headingley !
