Michiganred, its not as simple as the club `just saying no`, I was down at the club this afternoon collecting my tickets and was talking to Mr Blease. His words were "well his head was turned" There are several issues here and one being if his head was turned then it was the money that turned it and if he then wishes to leave, then there is no point the club trying to get him to stay and the fact the club got a good fee for him makes it a good worthwhile business for all parties concerned. ive no doubt if his head hadn't been turned then he would have been in the squad tomorrow night. The Club were not apparently looking to off load him but the circumstances placed in front of the player and the club only meant one thing. I don't blame any sides in all of this and particularly GOB as he will have to do what`s best for him and make as much money from the deal as possible. As OSRD posted...life goes on. From my experiences with Bleasby I distrust and dislike him intensely. Hope your right though, I really do. Gosh MR. You really are a bitter person at times. Could it be that the agent has a bigger role in this than we were first led to believe. Maybe, just maybe, he or she saw an opportunity for their client and themselves. It’s interesting how the thread regarding Ian Laithwaite received only two posts but anything negative is flooded with replies and speculation. GOB has gone and we have been told there will be replacements. If this doesn’t happen then the board will have left themselves open to criticism. So lets wait and see.

It’s the same on FB and Twitter. A positive post is met with about 3 likes whereas something remotely negative Is jumped all over. People need to get a grip, the club is doing all they can so let’s just get behind the players on the pitch.

People on here need to give their heads a wobble. It is rapidly descending into the moan fest of the old forum. We lost a bang on average player who wanted to go BTW and got £170k for him. Those saying that’s it I have had enough then go, you are not true supporters. Last night was More off the cuff no set move which everyone had sussed involving GOB. The whole team seemed happier and us the fans although small in number found out voices again. Winnable games coming up and hopefully new signings. A positive post, it’s not hard you know

Think last night you could see Evalds saying I'm the F/B and this is what I can do, he took some massive spiralling bombs in quite a vicious wind with ease.
As for the off the cuff stuff can't say if that was partly because of a change in game plan but I much prefer watching what we saw last night rather than the structured stuff we've seen so far this year

So you are not walking away them MR. Also maybe the penny has dropped regarding the player you like to call GOD? One win does not make a season but to better a pack the size of Hulls and also better them in defence and attack takes some doing

One win does not make a season but to better a pack the size of Hulls and also better them in defence and attack takes some doing If I find out the new powers that be have lied then yes there is a good chance I will walk, the noises they have made about him going were encouraging and the speed they came out refreshing but there is still a nagging doubt. I have said quite a few times I think Evalds is the better F/B but that in an ideal world GOD needed to be in the team for the options he provided, but let's be honest can any of us say hand on heart that we'd have not had kittens if he had been trying to take the massive bombs in that cross wind last night?

A positive post, it’s not hard you know I think you need to give your head half a wobble I’d much rather read the positivity but GOB was absolutely not bang average. I don’t get how being positive can involve slagging off ex players who always gave 100% for us. although not being a world beater GOB was central to our entire attacking structure. He got 4 assists in 3 games this season. and was the leading assist maker in the league at that point. He was second to Lui in assists for us last year. last night did have some more off the cuff but the game plan was pretty much the same. Try and wear them down using the forwards, wingers and Sa’u driving at them and chase the high kick. Makes perfect sense when our pack is so good and in the end it worked. To suggest it was a completely different style of play though isn’t right. We still used Flash, Lui and JLJ to ship it wide in the same way with Evalds joining the line in the same places Gaz and he always have, Luis try came from having that set up but he dummied and ran instead catching hulls defence off guard. But he’s always done that. Was a great victory but not sure it would have been very different if GOB had been playing

We have lost some great players. Myler, Sneyd, Fages, Smith, BMM, Moon, Carney, (Chase), but we have survived and can still come up with some great performances like last night. This is Salford. It's what we are.
