Koukash decided to walk away after his MCR rebrand was rightly opposed by supporters. His reign was a tale of bottom 4 finishes (until we finally had half a good season last year), CCJ's and points deductions before attempting to erase 100+ years of history with a name change. If people are desperate for this to return after two defeats then fair enough however let's not pretend it was paradise for the last few seasons under the previous owner.
Cas are looking shaky, Wire have been poor, Catalans/HKR look average. There's plenty of points to be played for yet.

To be fair to Dr K, he didn't "walk away", he decided to stop putting more of his money at risk, which he is entitled to do. Look at the accounts from last year. He injected circa seventy grand and has a total loaned to the club exceeding five million. Only his assurance not to call in the loan until the club can start repaying, to both the auditors and RFL, means we can come on here speculating if we will struggle this year in Superleague and not in the Championship, League 1 - or ever see a profess game in Salford again. I was never a fan but credit where credit is due.....

I agree with your points above. He deserves credit for keeping the club afloat and keeping us in the top flight if nothing else. I'm happy to take that from any ownership to be honest.
It's a shame he was willing to continue to put his money in if we rebranded but not if we stayed as Salford, but like you say it's his choice.
When we pick up a couple of wins hopefully we can start looking to the future again.
