If you think they were trundling Redrum then I’d like to see you stand in front of them. Wakefield have got a massive pack and after the first 10-15 minutes our boys bossed them. We had to get on top of the pack before we could move the ball or we’d have gone nowhere. We didn’t have enough gas left to nick it at the end and they got the 50-50 calls The attack (do we call it ‘our A’ these days?) definitely wasn’t where it needs to be. I think people underestimate the impact of Flanagan being out has. His quality, accurate passing in the middle gives the halves that extra second to do something. McCarthy and Hauraki aren’t up to it unfirtunately. Also I think Watson would have like to ease Littlejohn in more slowly but Vatuveis injury and Johnson struggling last week meant evalds had to go back to wing and GOB to FB so Littlejohn had to play. He looked rusty and took him an hour to settle in which th the passing moves We will get better with ball in hand Mate don't for one second think I was belittling our efforts, we dominated a big pack in the 2nd half and made decent yardage. My point was the flair and expansive rugby we saw last year hasn't been apparent thus far and the annoying thing is when we did when we did we looked dangerous.

For me last night was a vast improvement on the Wigan game. We played as a real team and the team spirit was there for everyone to see. This was epitomised when Wakey got a clean break and we somehow managed to scramble back. I thought the forwards did really well against a massive Wakefield pack which prevented their backline getting many chances. We made far fewer mistakes and were better organised than last week. I think Jack Littlejohn and Ben N. will improve and blend into a stable team which will help us in the upcoming games. When Flash gets back into the team we will improve both offensively and in defence. For me he is the glue of our team.
As for the officiating on the Fifita foot in touch that was appalling. It was that obvious that Eddie mentioned it and it's mentioned in all the reports. Why no referral when Child went for most incidents on how to restart the game?

Jeez. If O'Brien kicks one we draw and two we win out of three kicks he missed and the hatchets are out? We were more expansive with the ball in the first half running it on the 5th tackle etc and where did that get us? Losing by 8. We simplified the game plan in the second half having negated their forwards for the most part, score 3 trys and have a kick at the end to draw and we are one dimensional... Give your heads a wobble ffs. Did not go and did watch so can't comment.People watched same as you and come up with a different take on it.It does not mean you are right or they are right its opinions they make the world go round.

Fifties foot was not in touch. When viewed from the back angle , he kept both feet in the air before offloading, turns out to be a good decision.

There really is no pleasing some people on here. We had to make it a forwards battle and restrict them out wide because of the threats they posed on the edges. I thought we did that very well, the wingers barely got a sniff. We also scored more tries than them! Yes we are still in need of another back but tonight was much more promising and shows we haven’t become a terrible side. Also a big feature of this side is they have a great spirtit and give everything for each other. I thought the way they went to console Gaz at the end was brilliant. Injuries permitting, we’ll be ok. I cannot comment on last night. But we need 22 points for a start. After last week I cannot see where they come from. Can you.

Surely last weeks performance is irrelevant if we can perform like we did last night plus a bit extra for the rest of the season?

When I first saw it I was convinced he was in touch, but Sky showed a replay later on and it was clearly a good decision.

Assuming we get nothing from Wigan away, Saints away, Leeds home & away, castleford away, Hull away that leaves: Widnes x2, Hudds x2, Warrington x2, Catalans x3 (inc magic), Hull KR x2, Wakefield (h), Hull (h), Saints (h), cas (h) Thats 30 points in the possible bag. We can’t afford many slip ups against the teams around us but it is doable

And even if we don't get the magical 22 points, playing like we did last night I would fancy our chances in the middle 8's. We have done it twice before.

So the plan is hope and pray, look at if we're achieving the magic 22 or not and spend all season being worried ....sounds sound to me!
Although, if it's based on home points against sides like the Tigers ..........
And does that mean the ghost of Nobby has exited stage right?

There are probably 5 teams who are fairly guaranteed to finish in top 8, rest are in the mix. Doesn’t mean you sit there worrying, enjoy each game! We’re 2 games in. It’s a long season, relax and enjoy the ride. We’ve played 2 games against teams we lost against last season and guess what, we lost again this season. We beat cas at home last year, nobody is suggesting it’s a guaranteed 2 points but it’s more than possible. Not a clue what you mean about noble.
