Hope I’m wrong with this but have ticket sales dried up a bit today? The club tweeted that 5,373 had been sold by 2pm yesterday. They have recently tweeted that just over 6,500 have now been sold. Given the rate at which they sold yesterday I was hoping we would be asking for the extra allocation today.

Hastings on superleague show confirmed he is very likely to be staying in England next year. Also said he hasn’t sorted his future yet but needs to get it done pretty quickly.

When I went to the England v New Zealand game I parked next to Goodison - there were several pay and manned car parks operating around there. It’s only a 5-10 min walk across Stanley Park.

I am really pleased the Ammies have made it to the football league proper. Helps with the profile of the city and the RL club will be able to feed on that I see the crowd at Wembley was 8049. I know a direct comparison isn’t really possible but I like to think that if we got to Wembley that we’d be able to take at least that many on our own It’s the lowest ever crowd for a National League final at Wembley by some margin. I read that there were 2,700 from Salford City, less than 1000 from Fylde and the rest were neutrals. Pretty poor support in my opinion from both teams although Fylde are also at Wembley this weekend for FA trophy final. I also agree that we would take more than 8,000 for a challenge cup final. Re Saturday I have to confess I didn’t go. I’m a season ticket holder and i didn’t find the ticket prices particularly attractive, notwithstanding the £5 discount. Huddersfield and Wakefield reduced tickets to a tenner for their respective games. It’s a difficult one as I completely understand the club are in a challenging financial position and need all the money they can get. I decided to save my money for Saints and Anfield. Now the domestic football season is over - why don’t the club try something radical for one of the games? £10 adult and kids free. Or bring a friend for a tenner. Try and get the floating / casual fan back. I don’t recall there being such a similar initiative for a league game since the Koukash era. What have we got to lose?

I thought it was £26.00 if tickets were pre-purchased? I seem to remember a moan (Sorry "thread") about this previously?😂 I bought mine in advance from the club over the phone and paid £28 each. I can only presume it’s £26.50 plus £1.50 booking fee.

Just following on from my post above, the club / foundation have been in touch this morning and they are kindly putting on a couple of things for the birthday party. They apologised for my emails getting lost in the system. I wonder if they read this board ha! Absolutely fair play to them though; by making it a great experience for the kids is how to get them on board for the future.
Re improving crowds generally, I still maintain that £28 seating is overpriced for a routine game such as against London. The reality is none of the parents who are coming with me would have paid that amount out of their own pocket. My football team are doing a ‘bring a friend for a tenner’ deal for the game next weekend; maybe the club could try something similar for a weekend game. If the club put the onus on every season ticket holder to oblige we could double the crowd.

It’s my lads 6th birthday so bringing a party consisting of 7 adults and 11 kids. Most have never been to a rugby league match before so hopefully will lead to some more fans for future games.
Bit disappointed with the club / foundation as tried to sort something extra for my lads party (mascot, meet a player or brief coaching session with foundation) but just got ‘pass the buck’ response and then ignored. I’ve done my bit and I’d hoped they would have done theirs but not to be.
On the topic of improving crowds generally, I think £28 for the only seated area in the ground is overpriced. It will not entice lapsed fans, nor will it encourage new fans. It’s nearly 3 times as much as a seated ticket at Salford City, it’s more expensive than tickets at my football team and it’s more expensive than what Man City charge for champions league games!

I know the Head of Steam and Kings Head are decent ale houses directly outside the train station. I also know of the Gas club which is half way between the town centre and ground - worth a pint to break the walk up.

5 of us from Blackburn / Darwen making a day of it and going on the train. At a push we potentially could have a 1000 there? We get a lot of stick for the size of home crowds but I doubt many other teams would take a 1000 to Huddersfield on a cold snowy Friday night! I include football teams in that statement too!

Heard this little gem of a couple of people and it does make sense, converluted sense so bare with me.
A friend of mine who is on the inner at Salford football has told me that the stadium on Moore Lane will not be of any use if they get promoted (maybe twice as I honestly switch of when football is mentioned) and they will not get permission to extend it.
What I've heard people mention is that Salford FC will head over to the AJ Bell and that Salford Council will take over Moore Lane and then Swinton will move in and call it home.
One glaring issue I see with that for Swinton is that the entire ground is red.
Might be a crackpot rumour but if you think it kind of makes sense.
I’ve also heard that Salford City are going to leave Moor Lane and move to AJ Bell if (or as is the likely case when) they get promoted from the national league into league 2. A work colleague told me this as his friends company was involved in the redevelopment of the ground. He told me the roofs on the new stands are ‘temporary’ and only constructed for duration of 5 years. I have no reason to doubt my work colleague. It would make sense as Moor Lane and its location will not be suited to bigger crowds (in particular larger away followings) if they climb up the football league. By all accounts it’s already a nightmare for away fans to get to - 2 miles from a motorway and 3 miles from a train station. I also believe there are no pubs around the ground. AJ Bell on the other hand fits the criteria for the modern football league stadium.

I wanted to make my first ever trip to Catalans but sadly the lack of viable flights has stopped this. Just wanted a 2 night trip but doesn’t seem to be anything to Girona for Friday to Sunday.

For anyone remotely interested it was an oversight by the club and my DD form went missing. Can’t fault the prompt and helpful way in which they have dealt with it today - all sorted now.

Cheers for this info - confirms something has gone wrong! Bit annoying really given I travelled 20 miles from where I live to the ticket office, chose some good seats with the ticket office lady, completed the DD form and even had an email shortly after thanking me for becoming a season ticket holder! To be honest it’s not really financially viable for me to be a season ticket holder as I can’t get to all of the games but I wanted to contribute to the club. I will ring them if they aren’t going to reply to email!

Any update on this? Bit disappointing if the club isn't getting this right. I still haven’t had a reply from the club which is a little disappointing. Just seems strange that I was told start of November and website says the same. Oh well I can’t be bothered chasing the club - will see if they do eventually start taking payments or if my forms have been lost!
