Another unspectacular win but I'll take it!
Shane Wright was the best player on the pitch by some distance.
If we're still managing to grind out wins without playing at our best, I can't wait to see how we fair when we hit top form.

Just watching the sky coverage of tonight’s match and Sky said Salford have signed two new players for 2024. Apparently the club are very pleased with them. No names yet though Have asked Moley on twitter and he seems certain that Tanginoa from Wakefield is definitely one of them. I'd be fairly happy with that.

I think tonight is going to be a tough one for the lads. There needs to be a drastic improvement on last week's effort if we want to bring home 2 points!

Another tactic I've thought about for a long time but I've never seen it done. Is why don't wingers cath the ball from the KO, run it in, then have the half back come in at acting half and the prop can come into the ball from deep and at speed. Surely, you make more yardage with the winger as they catch and run, instead of the HB catching the ball, taking the time to pass it to a prop, who is yet to get up to speed. It's especially poor when the kick goes deep into the in-goal as the prop tends to have a standing start. My guess is that the winger is likely to get clattered at full speed by an opposition forward so by passing it to a prop instead, they're mitigating risk of injury. If the winger is built like Justin Carney it makes sense but otherwise I'd personally take the cautious approach.

It's OK I guess. If it had the Selco logo removed it would be better.

Yep! You can help me rebuild this website with your skills I can't remember the last time I made any major changes to it!

Looks great BDB. Nice and clean.
I would hazard a guess that the Club has already agreed a support\maintenance contract with Mosaic Digital Media so their hands might be somewhat tied until that expires. I think SEO could be improved on the current site but it is significantly better than it used to be.
ps, your name isn't John by any chance is it?

Like many others have already said "a win is a win" but if we play like that against Wigan on Friday I think we'll get tonked.
I guess you could argue that it's the hallmark of a good team if you can grind out results without playing at your best. I did expect us to hammer Wakefield yesterday but we were below-par and perhaps a bit complacent after beating Hull so convincingly the week before?
To be fair we have been fantastic to watch under Rowley for the vast majority of games so hopefully yesterday was a one-off.

kR looked solid today but also Wigan looked really rusty.
Ryan Hall went off injured and another player failed his HIA. Hopefully for us it means they might be a few players short on Thursday.
I noticed that KR did really well at offloading the ball so we need to try and prevent that.
Should be a good game.

I'm really pleased with that win and happy with the performance.
I can only echo what Redunderthebed and Carnster have already said but I'd also add that I thought Rhys Williams had a solid game too, especially in defense under the high ball.
It was a potential banana skin with all the focus on Leigh building up to the game. I'm glad we put them to the sword but judging from what I saw last night I don't think they will be pushovers for many teams.
Hopefully we can push on with another win on Thursday night.

Storm Otto is upon us - very very windy here 7 miles from Leigh - so would guess Marc Sneyd is the Key Man tonight with his boot. I think you're right - it's going to be very tough for the fullbacks tonight but neither of them can be as bad as Richie Myler was last night Leigh are a bit of a bogey team for us and they're going to be really up for it. Looking at their team, it might be aging but it's full of experience and arguably has more quality than several other Superleague teams. I fancy us to win but I don't think it will be a one-sided game by any stretch. Looking forward to it!

Absolutely unreal.
I had to check that my friends weren't trolling me when they shared the news!
Massive respect to Paul King, Ian Blease and everyone else at the club who has been involved in making this happen.
Its a real statement of intent by the Club.

Furthermore, and more importantly - what can the people at the top of Rugby League do to narrow that gap in popularity between the two codes?
