A hooker of this type is what we've missed. I like Kenny but we could have done with him a lot earlier

Not too sure where that leaves the other lads but looking at clips of him, I'm happy with the signing. I can't get my head round saints signing Tommy though. He's a good, steady hooker when he's fit(not the most exciting but reliable) but he's missed half of the last two seasons. Wish him all the best all the same

Neither did the Rangi Chase show. I didn't say they'd sell tickets. I was making the point that I think they look a pretty solid squad I know you didn't say anything about season tickets.I did I hope I am proved wrong but I cannot see past us being in the same boat next season. And yes I do think it matters what type of crowds we attract we can't live on that drop kick for ever.Get of to a bad start Koucash will be taking is ball home again.Has for Tasi I am all for people bettering them selves. But don't welcome him back with open arms when he flops. Like I say I hope I am proved wrong. Fair enough mate. I can understand where your coming from. I hope you are wrong too, that squad wouldn't have been in the middle 8's were it not for losing points. I know they let themselves down a couple of times in the 8's. The majority of the team will not be lost this time around which should mean we can finally start to build instead of rebuild every year. I might have my red specs on but I'm going to remain positive. On their day they can play exciting, attacking rugby. Which I've not seen a Salford team do for years. Add consistency to that and we're laughing

Well that's two props in now with the kid from Warrington. Fair enough he's unproven at SL level. I hope a couple of other signings are announced soon.

His comments prove he wants to play for Salford which was a big factor when the squad was assembled for the last season. Happily we don't need to bring in wholesale changes this time around, a couple of tweaks and replacements for outgoing players and the squad looks pretty good to me Sorry to disagree. But this lot will not sell season tickets. Seems he may be on his way back from saints and I'm wandering whether the supporters would be glad to see him back. I personally don't think we saw his best form last time around but if we can get him running hard and putting in those trademark big hits that can lift the side in an instant, he could be a good signing. I don't really blame him for taking the chance to play for st Helens. It's good to watch him play with a big grin on his face

I think your reasoning is bang on there reds89. Dobson move up to captain and Koppy vice captain

Doesn't really matter, they will be changed willy and indeed nilly when the Piper calls the tune. I take it the Piper is Sky TV. You'd think they were running the game sometimes

Got to be said everyone we're talking Wikipedia, smoke and mirrors, illusions and mirages while we sign no one, nobody seems to be coming and we're leaking players! But don't worry the club have announced this weeks lottery winners and we'll always have the Mitsubishi Mongrel Cup! Which wiki page are we talking? I can't find any transfer news regarding Salford players leaving or coming in. The names I can find mentioned as leaving are the ones we knew about weeks ago and Tommy Lee, which is no major shock because he's been unfit for large chunks of the last two seasons

That's a very valid point. There's not too many playing league that kick as well as their union playing counterparts. The only reason I can come up with for it is that maybe union kickers must spend a lot more time working on it at junior level. Union games are won and lost on the strength of a kick a lot more than league games. Quite a lot of international games only see points scored from kicks.
