I've a feeling Turner will struggle in the NRL. He's a talented player but I'm not sure he's quite up to that level. I hope I'm wrong, time will tell.

I'd like to see Taylor given a run out to test him at international level. He's been outstanding the last two seasons for us and FC. I'd start with Clarke at nine. Sarginson looked out of his depth. Unfortunately I don't think we've anyone much better at the moment

I won't argue with your points there Michigan. Do you have any players in mind that would be better?

What did you make of the match yesterday? England dominated large parts of the game but didn't turn the possession into enough points. I think they'll have to be much more clinical against the Aussies because they will score tries against any side. Need to cut out the mistakes as well. It wasn't a dreadful performance but I'd say it was short of what is required at that level. The kiwis were a little out of sorts and that was a great chance to beat them

Gibbo was a great fella. I spoke to him in the Willows when I was just a young kid but he took the time to ask if I'd enjoyed the match and if I played myself. I must have only been about seven or eight but he spoke to me as an equal. Really nice bloke who deserved the admiration of the fans

Steve Blakeley for me, pre being ruined by Wire. He was in the team I first started watching and had that bit of magic that made me fall in love with the game. Vague memories of sidesteps, chips over the defence and a burst of pace. The chip over the defence, a rarely seen tactic these days for some reason which is a shame because it could produce some exciting results or blow up in your face which may explain why it's not used much these days

I can't see why the ground seems to be hated so much. It's draughty, I'll concede that much but we had to leave the Willows, there's no way they would have let us stay and play super league for much longer. Yes other clubs have poor grounds but they all seem to have proper toilets for a start and a bar, not a shed with no light or fridge selling cans. As for the public transport issue I can't really comment as I don't use it to get to the match. What I will say though is the AJ Bell is right next to the M60 so I'm not having all this it's too hard to get to. The fact is I see the same faces at the AJ as I used to see at the Willows. If people want to go and support their team, they'll find a way.
We won't be moving again and I wouldn't back any plan to go to Leigh or Man City's place. How is the other side of Manchester or the arse end of Wigan better to get to/from

Top eight will do me. Maybe do decent in the cup. They say Rome wasn't built in a day, well Salford have spent four years getting some foundations in. Anyone know any Italian builders?

Ray Cashmere. The only man who can scratch his ankles without bending his back. Cracking prop for us though

Crabtree certainly seems to get on well with the doc. I hope we don't do to Murray what we did to Hagerty. He may well go out on loan but I don't think he'll be away all season. Murray has been signed with the intention of developing him into a super league prop I would have thought. Hagerty seems to have been loaned in in case we had an injury/suspension crisis as we did under Harris

You've got a point there. If that would solve the issue, I'm all for it

That is out of their control. Even MK couldn't blame that on them. Everything else is their fault, disease, famine, a pocket full of change that's not enough for what you need

Good point Russ. They really need more fodder to sling at us. The cap doesn't work and I can't see how it will ever work. I was all for it when it was initiated but hindsight is wonderful
