Yes, but only if it does not exceed 50% of your turnover.

CURRENT TABLE =============
1 Leeds Rhinos 8 2 Leigh Centurions 8 3 Huddersfield Giants 6 4 Hull K R 4 5 London Broncos 2 6 Salford Red Devils 2 7 Batley Bulldogs 2 8 Featherstone Rovers 0 Well there are loads, but let’s say Huddersfield were to lose all their remaining matches. Salford could meet them at home in the MPG:
Leeds v Batley Leigh v Huddersfield London v Hull KR Salford v Featherstone
Leigh v Batley Featherstone v Hull KR Huddersfield v Leeds Salford v London
Leeds v Leigh Batley v Salford London v Featherstone Hull KR v Huddersfield
1 Leeds Rhinos 14 2 Leigh Centurions 12 3 Hull KR 10 -------------------------- 4 Salford Red Devils 8 5 Huddersfield Giants 6 -------------------------- 6 London Broncos 4 7 Batley Bulldogs 2 8 Featherstone Rovers 0 If Huddersfield were to win the last match at Hull KR: Salford, Huddersfield and Hull KR could all finish on 8 points. The better points difference of the three would see them finish third. However, Salford are already 70 points off Hull KR and 114 points off Huddersfield. So Salford could do with winning margins of 40 per game.
Of course, there are unlikely perms that could see us a clear 3rd:
Leeds v Batley Leigh v Huddersfield London v Hull KR Salford v Featherstone
Leigh v Batley Featherstone v Hull KR Huddersfield v Leeds Salford v London
Leeds v Leigh Batley v Salford London v Featherstone Hull KR v Huddersfield
1 Leeds Rhinos 12 2 Leigh Centurions 12 3 Salford Red Devils 8 4 Huddersfield Giants 6 5 Hull KR 6 6 London Broncos 6 7 Batley Bulldogs 4 8 Featherstone Rovers 2

Okay what about all the other trophies and their dates, surely they must have caused a conflagration somewhere in the world? Rugby Football League Championship: 1913-14, 1932-33, 1936-37, 1938-39, 1973-74, 1975-76 Challenge Cup: 1937-38 BBC2 Floodlit Trophy: 1974-75 Lancashire Cup: 5 1931-32, 1934-35, 1935-36, 1936-37, 1972-73 Lancashire League: 5 1932-33, 1933-34, 1934-35, 1936-37, 1938-39 Championship Cup: 2 2003, 2008 Weirdly our best spells have been when Manchester United have experienced some of their worst. We’re also missing Lancashire Senior Competition champions in 1892–93, and Second Division titles and Premierships (e.g. The Gulf War in 1990–91).

They’ve been in enough finals to win more though. The 1903 Challenge Cup Final against Halifax was a bit of game changer. I know I said RL doesn't make enough of history but I never expected to have some one among us who'd been to that game! Biggest crowd in the Northern Union until that point but Salford tried to stifle the scrums by putting four forwards in the front row, which was allowed at the time, but made for a poor spectacle. The NU reacted by changing a number of laws that became the bedrock of rugby league: reduction of players from 15 to 12 then to 13, play the ball after a tackle instead of a scrum, play on after a knock on (lessening the amount of scrums even further), and no kicking out on the full.

Koukash tweeted that the club asked Hull KR whether they would agree to move the fixture to the weekend, but they refused. And because Hull KR refused, the RFL refused the request. Odd as you'd think that they would attract more away following at the weekend and more atmosphere for themselves. My point is more why when a fixture like this was scheduled didn't someone just check it didn't clash before finalising details, it's not rocket science. Well they did have a few weeks to sort this out. I can only think Hull KR booked something like a training camp for this week, starting Saturday, before Salford had the nous to realise that there was a clash. Otherwise I don’t get it.

Firstly when walking through Eccles I thought that there's lots of muppets out in United shirts, only to then see a sign on one pub saying tonight's game was being shown live, why why WHY do we not learn and avoid clashes (pretty sure the AJ Bell was free Saturday and Sunday) to at least try and maximise the amounts of bums on seats. Koukash tweeted that the club asked Hull KR whether they would agree to move the fixture to the weekend, but they refused. And because Hull KR refused, the RFL refused the request.

Chico being unfamiliar with your simulator, evry time i refresh it shows Salford in a different position in the league table why is that or again am i being stupid? can you explain for my benefit my friend? Sorry! Every time you refresh, it simulates a middle 8’s season at random. The idea was to get a general gist of how many points a team would need to get in the top 3.

Can't find the table but does anyone one know how many points we needed last year to make the automatic qualifiers? Would be nice to win every game but can't see us winning at Leeds away (our no show gave them impetus just at the right time) and do worry that we will loose at either Hull KR or Leigh, though I'd kill to go to Leigh and give them one hell of a spanking and put that ar$e Beaumont in his place. You can refresh this season generator I created last year a few times to get a rough average: gazshaw.co.uk/eightgen/2015/

Perhaps the club could run free buses for supporters from the city centre to the stadium? Manchester?

That is fast, particularly for his age.
An interesting thing I was reading about a while back was how speed requirements over the years haven’t changed much, if anything today’s backs are slower – not a great surprise considering they are much heavier.
In 1909 Lance Todd, speaking about his playing stint at Wigan, said that any back that could not run 100 yards in under 11 seconds wasn’t much use. At a constant pace, that equates to around 11.8 seconds for 100 metres. Jodie was clocked at 11.2 at 90m (almost 100y) on grass, in full kit, when he won the fastest man in RL race.
For comparison, Ken Irvine, the great Australian winger, ran the 100 yard dash in 9.3 seconds in 1961.

We did this for a bit in 2013 when it had become a thing down under. Adam Neal (twice), Vic Mauro (twice) and Lee Jewitt (once) all started at 13. I suppose it still depends on who you put there.
