More good news emanating from the club. Based on the number of players resigning for us it looks like they are happy with Watson's Team ethic.

Salford1961 - much as I was hoping welham's try really did make it 22-0, he got the 3rd. Just watched the highlights again to check Evalds made it 22-0 with the 4th tryI think if number 22 had scored in the 22nd minute to make it 22-0, it would have been too spooky. But that's s tiny thing. What a night. I think it is the best rugby I have ever seen a Salford team play. Some of the handling was sublime. The way they moved the ball for Welham's try was incredible, we played better off the cuff stuff than we have before, Lui showed incredible pace, Johnson's chase and tackle with a couple of minutes left said everything. And I would have paid to enter just to see BMM's hand off and run that led to Flash's try. Fantastic In the past whenever we had a big occasion like this with new people coming we would have folded on the pitch. But not this team. The fantastic gesture by marwan and the club, the fans' and public's response and the team performance. A perfect night RedUnderTheBed I must have got carried away in the emotion of the night All I can say after watching the extended highlights back is what a team we have to watch at the moment. Let's hope we can continue tomorrow at Warrington.

Stood waiting for the bus home and in a daze. Amazing support, amazing performance... and proud to see Wire, Wigan, Leigh, Leeds fans etc standing side by side with us and paying a fitting tribute to those that have lost their lives. It's been a horrible week but tonight has shown what a great community RL has. As for the players, I love every f*cking one of them. It must have been unbelievably tough to go out there and perform under those circumstances but they showed what a class bunch of men they are. We need to get those pics of the squad with the flag after the match going viral. I was dreading tonight but extremely proud of the club, players and fans for what they achieved. And if it's true that Welham (#22) scored that try in the 22nd minute then someone is definitely looking down from above.
Lost for words. SalfordSlim I also believe that try made the score 22-0 as well. I took 16 of my Sons friends and parents and they all really enjoyed the game and atmosphere. Thanks, to the Doc, the staff and most especially the players we might have a few more potential fans. Also really nice to see a few neutral fans there too. What a great night full of different types of emotion It made me proud of the spirit of Manchester and Salford combined.. I can't remember a better night for a very long time, dare I say the cup win against Wigan 20+ years ago.

Brilliant news. George has been one of our unsung heroes this year.

I’ve been thinking more about this during my dinner. If this episode is a ruse by the club to stir up emotions, generate publicity and get more people through the gates, then surely, the net result is agreeable to us all. I’d rather be one of the gullible fucks duped by it than somebody who sat back and enjoyed the last few games of a decent Salford side but forever ruing the decision to dismiss it as bollocks. It was a thought that came into my mind recently. We obviously want to oppose the rebranding / name change / move etc but the last thing we want to do is derail our season. The boys on the field have been outstanding this year by showing the passion we as fans would have if we had the ability to pull on a Salford Shirt. Maybe we can use the clubs offer for the Catalans & Wakefield games, which I commend, to drag in a few more supporters through the gates. Let's face it we all know a few lapsed fans who can't be bothered, or people that have commented recently on how well we're doing. The more we can get through the gates to support the boys in red the more it will help our cause

Thoughts? Yes let's all get down to the Dog & Partridge tomorrow night and find out what we as a collective know. Come up with a few ideas and make a plan as a team how to counteract the name change. We don't want to give up our name on the whim of a poorly thought out idea. This survey is just a smokescreen to say they've dotted the I's and crossed the T's. Congratulations to everyone who was involved in handing out the "Salford Forever Manchester Never" poster on Friday night. I've got mine up in my porch window where no-one can miss it.

Last night was one of those "If Carling made Rugby Matches it would be last nights Wigan v Salford Match". Having been a Salford fan for over 40 years I've not enjoyed a game as much as that for a long time. The players played a near perfect first half and the big turnout of Reds fans were magnificent. The atmosphere in the away end was loud and supportive of the players. We never stopped singing with the team giving us lots to cheer about.
I have fond memories of our last win at Central Park 20 years ago so let's hope we don't have to wait another 20 for the next one.
Have to comment on the great Team Ethic and the boys putting their bodies on the line for the club I support. The youngsters coming in to replace injured bodies has also been a highlight of this season. I also don't like picking individuals out but Adam Walne has been impressive this year and it's great to see him realising his potential.
Great Game, Great Win and long may it continue.

I think we'll find that Sky will hype it up as a repeat of the Million Pound game. If nothing else it should be interesting to see how both teams compare to last year. You'd hope they don't, the hype surrounding last years game was for me the main contributing factor in the trouble at the end. Hype it up and you give the fans more options for niggle. Totally agree Michigan but I can see the trailers for the game now

There are 4 televised games, 2 on sky 2 on Beeb, I guess beeb got the first pick. Glad it's on the box, just hope no repeat of idiots from either side ruining it Fev v Fax Sky Thursday Us Friday Cas BBC Saturday and surprisingly Warrington on BBC Sunday. Would have put my house on the Hull v Dragons game being on with 4 being shown. Glad I didn't. I think we'll find that Sky will hype it up as a repeat of the Million Pound game. If nothing else it should be interesting to see how both teams compare to last year.

This game is massive for us. Win it and we'll be looking upwards and Widnes will find if hard to escape the bottom four. Lose it and we may be looking over our shoulder a bit. Hopefully the halves will produce a good kicking game and we can control the ruck.

Absolutely brilliant news. He's the sort of player wee need to keep. He's good in both second row and centre. I feel the club is becoming exactly how the fans want it to be. Stable, good on and off the field with Bleasey & Watto. On top of this retaining our players before the vultures come calling.

Does anyone know which incident the Toronto Loose Forward Bussey was cited for? Only he was involved in that many Forearm / Elbow tackles it could have been one of many. Striking in a tackle on Adam Walne in the first half. He got a one match ban and a £75 fine. That'll teach him. The mind boggles. If Salford had played like Toronto last week we'd have no players eligible to play this week. The RFL need to take a deep look at themselves as they're becoming a spin off from the muppets
