Good/Bad news is that Luke Walsh is pretty much a done deal to us atm according to sky. Pretty underwhelmed if so. For a club claiming to have ambitions, it's a Salford of old signing if I've ever seen one... Hopefully I can be proved wrong on this... Camster, I agree with a lot of things you put on here but I think Luke Walsh may be a good move for us. When he's on the field and not injured he's certainly a quality half back. If, as rumoured we get Dec Patton then who better to give advise to GOB and Dec on improving as a young half back. Keep him on the field with a pack going forward and we've got quality and a good footballing brain. Plus he's a fair goal kicker.

The "Bias" in the Refereeing and Disciplinary Panel is making me lose interest in the game. How can the likes of Brough and Powell launch themselves from three yards at the knees and get away with no case to answer and a one match ban respectively. I thought the milestone was 7 matches or as Balou wanted "out as long as the player was injured". I think Mason Caton Brown and Lama would agree with that. I lose count of the number of times I'm watching Sky thinking If Salford players lay on in a tackle or wrestle after the tackle is complete like that we'd be penalised. I used to give the referees the benefit of the doubt but it's becoming so obvious that the RFL want certain teams to prosper. it's also about time the RFL started stamping down on certain players bending the referees ear over virtually every decision. I can name a few and I wonder which teams two of them play for? Maguire, O'loughlin, Brough All the smaller teams want is a level playing field. Rant Over

He's led the Reds Pack magnificently this year with lots of guts and passion> Just what you need as a national captain> Well done Koppy.

I thought it could of gone either way i thought there pivots being the main difference. Scoreline flattered them and most 50/50 went there way. 20 penalties in that game ref liked his whistle. We have to beat Wigan friday otherwise top4 is gone and im hoping they'll rest a few players with the challenge cup being the week after 20 penalties in the game but 14-6 or 13-7 to Castleford. I was getting really annoyed when it was a 7-1 penalty count to Cas in the first half. We're definitely not being treated the same by officials the last couple of seasons for similar offences.

the players we've been missing (and are still missing) are all absolutely crucial players that were integral to all the good performances we put in earlier this season - Flanagan Brining Mossop J Carney Sau Dobson Koppy Take these out of any team and they would be struggling. Add this to the fact that fatigue has now set in for most of the players and it's no wonder we finding it tough to get back to winning ways. Lets hope we get some bodies back and can at least restore some pride in the 8's. Watson'a job should be safe and he should be given the chance to add to the squad and aim even higher next year. For my mind we started going backwards when we lost Justin Carney. His go forward in the first one or two tackles gave us such a good start to going up field. It gave us the platform to winning the collision on each subsequent tackle. It also allowed a few of the big forwards to take their time getting back into the line thus preserving energy. This allied to the losses of the players mentioned above meant that we were a bit thin on the ground. Saying that though we've competed really well in most of our games this year and with a bit of luck we could have had 3 or 4 more wins. I also think the St Helens game knocked a bit of stuffing out of the team to lose in such a way. Watson has done a fantastic job and we shouldn't even be talking this way. On to Friday and Castleford.

I thought yesterday showed what can be achieved with a bit of success on the field. I thought the players were fantastic yesterday but just fell a bit short but the effort was fantastic. Any fan new or old must be drawn in by the endeavour and skill of the players.
We certainly need to try and tap into this while it's fresh in peoples minds.

Redjack, in todays financial climate it does make sense especially as the good doctor has been involved with Swinton before. Whether it would be considered is another matter altogether!

Agree he was good in both games but he was superb in the Warrington game. Don't know why he's not figuring at the moment though.

My feelings on this are that it's a high risk strategy. Manu has had major injuries and hardly played over the last couple of years so we don't want another Daniel Vidot. If it does come off and we can keep him on the field it will be great for Payers and fans alike. He's now a Salford player and will get cheered every time he's on the field. Lets hope it's lots.

Well if the clubs tweets anything to go by, certainly looks positive gutted incant attend! "A massive thank you to all of the supporters that have purchased tickets for Sunday so far, advanced sales are at a season high! #Rising" Why are Sky and everyone else going on about attendances when we're playing so well at the moment? If you can't knock the way we're playing have a go at attendances! Hopefully tomorrow we can win and shut the sycophants up

Very interesting. With those defensive stats I think Lui could also be very effective at loose forward once Koukash starts taking it more seriously, and signs Shaun Johnson as one of our marquee players. ;-) Those stats show just how important Rob is to our team. He has the graft of a forward and creativity of a very classy half back. Two players in one Just goes to show what a great signing he was last week. Oh and I'd take Shaun Johnson in a heart beat too

Where I disagree with the Vatuvai signing this would really excite me and add so much more to the team. Yes Please

Moley has suggested that Vatuvei is considering retirement as well as an offer from Salford. I actually think this may happen, if not before he comes here then at the end of this season. Only he knows how much his body can take. Oh, and I'd hoped that reading sentences like that about Salford were a thing of the past. An offer from Salford or retirement? It used to be the same thing and I'm hoping that it doesn't creep back. For if he's thinking of retirement he should retire end of. To come over here from the southern hemisphere should only be made by someone who is 100 % committed to giving their all. That statement about retirement or coming to Salford is all wrong and we should pull out if true. Nothing against Manu who's been a legend in the game, but if he's thinking about retirement then he's not the player we should be going for.

Looks like a really good prospect. Strong, hard runner, elusive & can tackle judging by his you tube clip. Great flip pass in one of the clips. Hopefully he can improve under IW and especially Martin Gleeson link
