If the RFL really were hell bent on expansion at the cost of others then Ottawa and NY would be in by now, London wouldn’t have been relegated, Newcastle and York would have been promoted and Toronto would have been allowed to have some central funding. Seems to me that the RFL and SL aren’t very convinced by expansion and are risking the integrity of all 3 pro-divisions by their approach.
It is a real risk that some clubs will go bust if they can’t play at home for 3 months or more. Some players will face real hardship as their clubs won’t be able to pay them. The RFL and SL have no money to bail clubs out. To suggest it will be an excuse for a cull is massively insulting to everyone working in the sport and undermines how difficult this will be for genuine reasons by adding nonsensical conspiracy theory in. Completely unnecessary and unhelpful at a time of crisis
As others have said. The difficulties faced by the clubs and the sport is nothing compared to people’s health and staying alive. That needs to be the focus and the government needs to be prepared to throw a lot of money at critical services and I’ll people to get us through and then at small/medium businesses, voluntary organisations and sports and cultural bodies to make sure there is enough of society left after the crisis has passed

We had a perfect opportunity to use Pauli like we did last year and how we used BMM. There was a PTB 10m out and we had good line depth and had some of the smaller Wigan defenders isolated on our right. If we’d had a crash ball with him running onto it at pace there was no way they were stopping him. Instead we went with a different play and then got Pauli charging onto it in the middle against their props. He was stopped a metre out and the ref gave a knock on at the play the ball. Not convinced it was but Pauli not the quickest at playing the ball so having him do it there with all the big defenders inches in front of him means they will always be set and able to get to the dummy half.

I thought the ref was fine. It’s the only position on the pitch that has to be faultless and achieve perfection in order to be considered ok.
The forward pass was frustrating. The ball Definitely travelled Forward. Tui passed it on their 20m line. Williams caught it 15 out. But he passed it backwards. That’s what a rugby ball dies when you are running at speed and you pass. A lot of our fans would do well to remember that next time they are screaming cheat and corruption for a pass by the opposition that does the same

What a comeback that was. I was feeling quietly confident before the game (but also thinking we might get pasted!). I thought we were trying to give Hull a run for their money in the first 15. After that we were the better team but kept cocking it up near the line. I was starting to think we’d never score til Evalds did his magic
And that tackle by Sarginson. Just wow
Flanagan was the difference though

First half garbage, second half brilliant, once we decided that Wigan would crumble we grew in confidence, well done the lads....however where the hell did that announcer come from, God he was terrible. Worst announcer ever 😂

Hastings won’t go to Union, different skill set for a half back. Fake news. Hope he finds a gig in the NRL I agree. Can’t see him going to union. I suspect he’ll be at Wigan for the long haul. I never understood people saying he wouldn’t settle there, always felt like a good match to me. I think he’ll be there until at least the end of 2021

When Wane ignore him and Austin, I wondered if he had heard something. No doubting Gale's ability but equally no doubting Hasting's ability. I am sorry to disagree, but I think. Gales average at best.I don't think I would find a place for him in the top 50 stand offs I have seen in my 67 years of watching the game. Just my opinion. To be fair he’s a scrum half so that’s not much of an insult 😉

I think Tomkins was sin binned for his trip. On Evalds in the 43rd minute, I think. When did a trip become a sin binning offence rather than a sending off offence? Would it have made a difference? It might well have done. Salford were on the ascendency at that point. Not been a straight red for many many years I don’t think Having seen it though, I don’t think anyone would have argued with a red

A couple of comments saying the board is anonymous. It’s Paul King and Paul Trainor. Neither wealthy. Both giving up loads of their own time and putting their own houses on the line to keep the club afloat so we can all moan about their lack of ambition.
You think you can do better then put yourself forward. It’s a community club so new help is always welcomed

For interest the Cumberland League has two divisions of about 8 teams and 3 semi pro teams, yet do not seem to be supported for a SL team. But I suppose Valencia, Belgrade, Ottawa are better destinations than the Lake Distruct. Who is not supporting them JJR? I think everyone would like to see a fully professional Cumbrian team in super league. But they don’t have the finances or the wherewithal to do it. They have had 120+ years to get themselves in a position to survive at the top level of the sport, same as us. We’re clinging on. They aren’t. Who is supposed to fix that for them?

Don't know whether or not it's fake news but seen both French and Spanish governments are planning on stopping events which have over 5,000 people attending. At least if they bring that in over here we’ll be ok to carry playing at the AJ Bell 😉

Even with the injuries that’s quite a scary back line. You think? Lyme has got decent pace as has Johnstone (though I believe he's been culpable for a few tries defensively this season). Tupou will be out on the wing when he's a far better centre and Atkins is gash IMO! Not sure if Jowitt will be FB or in the halves as believe Josh Wood has been playing 7 in Brough's absence. I just meant the three quarters. Johnstone, Tupou and Lyne are all quality
