Does anybody know how much Devil Talk raised towards sponsering a player ? And who are we gonna sponser? I think the combined fan total stood at about £1390 before Koukash offered to pay the balance.....no ideas how much of that initial lump was Devil Talk contributions...

No sign yet of MK's donation either. I'd hazard a guess that it will fade into the ether like Salford TV, The best Academy facilities, and signing Sam Burgess...

Hopefully we will push for the remaining sponsorship at the game on Friday night. As a member of the trust I would like to see a news letter reaching all members, only a small proportion of those who have joined have contributed. last time I looked there were 62 supporters who had contributed, personally I think this is a poor return. I think the sooner Salford fans realise we really are on our own, the sooner we will understand the task in front of the trust & all its supporters.
I have friends who follow everywhere but don't buy a season ticket because they are able to get a match day ticket cheaper than a season ticket works out, I could use the same route & so could some of my fellow supporters I attend matches with, sooner or later these people who are good supporters will realise we need every penny we can get & need to support the club through the season ticket.

I've had a bit of an update regarding the Sponsorship contribution from DevilTalk members. I'm not going to post anything just yet as I'm waiting for official confirmation from the Club and everyone involved.
Once it's all been sorted I'll let you know asap.

UPDATE:
Deviltalk will be sponsoring the substitution / interchange board that is held up for every interchange, for the entire season (excluding tonight's game against Wigan). Look out for it on Sky Sports when we play Wakefield next week!
I spoke with Dave Campbell (Willows Road on Twitter) and he wanted to make sure that we got some form acknowledgement for our contributions.
The Crowdfunding money raised will be enough to sponsor both Josh Wood and Dan Murray. Any surplus money will be used to buy items from the club shop and there will be periodic prize draws / raffles throughout the season where anyone who has made a contribution is in with a shot of winning the prize.
The Club have also done a piece on the club website - see below.
Thanks!
The Salford RLFC Supporters’ Trust will sponsor Josh Wood and Daniel Murray for the 2018 season after a successful crowd funding campaign.
Dave Campbell, Chairman of the Salford RLFC Supporters’ Trust, said: “We’re just trying to support the Club in as many ways as we possibly can while the new structure are finding their feet.
“It’s really good that we can support a player like Josh who has come through the ranks here at Salford and this is now potentially his breakthrough season.
“Then Daniel Murray has been a real fan favourite and come through the Warrington system and again it could be a big year for him as well so for us to club together and sponsor two players is great.”
Salford Red Devils CEO, Ian Blease, said: “When I met some of the starter members of the Salford RLFC Supporters’ Trust around a year ago this was the long-term vision we had.
“It’s great to for the Salford RLFC Supporters’ Trust to support the Club so closely and sponsor two of the younger members of the squad is brilliant.
“We hope this is the start of a fruitful and progressive relationship between ourselves and the Supporters’ Trust which will help drive Salford Red Devils forward in our new era.”
Campbell added: “On the crowd fund we raised over £3000 which we’re putting straight back into the Club via player sponsorship.
“The Devil Talk forum will also sponsor the interchange boards as they helped us and shared a thread on their forum promoting our fundraising campaign.
“This has been an opportunity for fans to be a player sponsor because not all fans have a thousands in their back pocket.
“Everyone who has contributed has now gone into a draw to pick up some of the benefits such as the players shirt and players appearances.
“We’ve had people donating £10, people donating £100 and one person who used to be involved with the Club donating over £1000.
“Over 60 fans have donated in total who have donated and we’re going to keep it running for a few weeks and we’ll buy a few more perks to add to the draw.”
