The last 3 results weren't that bad considering the range of players we have out from a v small squad and the quality of the opposition. We're moving forward, as Cas have done over the past 4 years. I do think we should stop prolonged periods of one man bash then on the 5th tackle kick tho, early on ok but let's move away from this after we've settled down. The ball needs to be moved around the forwards with runners backing up. Our one move doesn't now work but throughout the season there have been little moves, Koppy off Brining, McCarthy off Carney and sometimes the forwards have even put shoulder in turned and passed. Why can't we build on this as Cas, Leeds and others do. We seem to be in a one man bash rut; lacking confidence?? On last night's showing we are not moving forward like Cas.Not in the memory of Man. You can't blame small squad or injuries every team has them. The rumour doing the rounds last night was Sau didn't play because he has a difference of opinion with the coach, about the coahing methods just a rumour last night I didn't see any coaching all we had like you have said was five barges and a kick.

No,we're not moving forward like Cas. Agree with that. I don't believe the Sau rumour. Injuries make a massive difference, obviously, but it also depends when you have them. Some other teams, say Wigan, had major problems early on but their players are back. Mossop,Tasi,Flash out for the season. Sau and Dobson as well last night. GOB not picked after injury,ok I'm pushing it with that one. As regards playing style,we have Lui and TC at halfback. They are creative enough. I repeat the previous point which is that without GOB you massively reduce your options. The play may have been sussed but there are many variations so it generally works a couple of times each game. JJ not being a natural centre strengthens the defence but prevents a rapid handling movement

The problem with the play out the back to O'Brien was it was allowed to become our only play and never varied. Consequently we end up with the opposition outside backs gambling on where the ball is going only it wasn't gambling because the ball always went there. After that had happened the half backs and the coaching staff should have shown that they have a brain between them and made sure the opposition were kept honest with some well executed kicking plays behind this on rushing defence. Without the existence of doubt the opposition defence were free to keep teeing off on O'Brien and they filled their boots. That's poor coaching and equally poor half back play.

The team look knackered and I am not surprised as with such a small squad injuries will hit us more. Very disappointed we reverted to one man rugby and that has to stop . Cas last year did not win one game in the Super 8s and neither did Wakefield, you have to be in it every year to get the experience of basically playing a final each week. The attendance was shocking and I cannot blame our knobhead owner wanting change. Salford people are not interested in the club and despite trying various things to entice fans all have failed. I can see the off season being very messy.
Weirdest thing last night Castleford singing "your gonna win fook all" never thought I would hear that at a Salford game

I thought it could of gone either way i thought there pivots being the main difference. Scoreline flattered them and most 50/50 went there way. 20 penalties in that game ref liked his whistle. We have to beat Wigan friday otherwise top4 is gone and im hoping they'll rest a few players with the challenge cup being the week after

Beat Wigan then the first weeks rest we've had all season followed by wakey at home. Both difficult but winnable games, suspect if we win both of them we'll be back in the top 4 and everything looks much better.

I was getting really annoyed when it was a 7-1 penalty count to Cas in the first half. We're definitely not being treated the same by officials the last couple of seasons for similar offences.

I relented and brought my friend from Antwerp (he attended the Hull FC home game last year) and he said that the team looked flat and without motivation (I still say the system promotes this) but tellingly for me without knowing who the Doc was he asked who is that when he walked passed with his personal camera crew. I asked why and he said he had the feeling he was a dick.
There is ATM a shocking lack of spark, pretty much guarantee that if we had scored back to back points the score would have been much closer. We currently are rabbits and we are caught staring at the headlights.
