Hi guys.
Any questions you've got for Ian, post below.
Please note, I've agreed to this on the proviso that we don't discuss the alleged rebrand. My decision, not his.
Thanks.

At the risk of upsetting people,I sure that the majority of fans would like to ask the club,in the guise of its CEO what is evolving regarding the "rebrand" of Salford RLFC. It is important that the CEO understands the level of feeling amongst the fans. Ignoring the topic, will not make it go away. Im not being negative or disrespectful to yourself, but merely looking for answers as to the direction that Salford RLFC is moving. Hoping for a great performance at the weekend.

I agree estagnol but I didn't feel comfortable putting Ian in that situation. I can ask the question no problem but I wouldn't expect an answer. For all I know, Ian is ok with answering questions about the rebrand. All I can do is put them to him and see how he responds.

Have pre-season expectations been exceeded? Can we expect more signings before the start of next season? Who has been your stand out player this season? Are the players excited for the Semi Final on Sunday?

Well done BM. I think you should politely point out to IB that we're totally disgruntled about a possible name change but see if he wants to answer questions on the subject before asking him
Why is the administration, ticketing, phone nos poor Why don't you use the wide expertise within the supporters to help the club What's happened to the monthly meet ups On the way to the Leigh game from the Open heard MK on R Manchester say his interest in the team will depend on the supporter no's at the next 4 matches; what did he mean. Why does the club not celebrate the continual increase in support instead of continually being negative saying we need more there. Negativity breeds negativity. What's happened to the club newsletter, we can help by doing it and getting lots of e mail addresses Why is the club obsessed with twitter; why no e mails. What's happened to the Business Club; we can help Mossop is potentially a great player but seemed finished at Wigan with his shoulder. Can he make a comeback How about Carney at no 9 when Lui's fit. Think he would be great there with all his experience. Lui not a 9. Why did Walne go to Huddersfield Whats the position with an A Team and an Academy

Thanks JJR. Will pluck a handful of your Qs for IB, can't see him having time to answer the lot but I can ask!

How does Superleague compare with the system that you played in? How does the CEO position compare with your previous jobs? Any regrets about your change of career? Who has replaced Andrew Bentham?

I can answer the last question. Andrew Benthem has been made redundant, With Carvell replacing him. I did not think you could make someone redundant then replace them with another person

Hi Ian, absolutely chuffed we have a Salford boy and especially a captain as CEO. He seems to be doing a belting job so here goes. How does it feel now dealing with agents? Garry lo? From a fans pov, can we look at a trailer party next year? Is there any chance of a TV screen? Any chance of a player dinner if a season ticket number is picked? Whose our most famous fan?
Separate, how did it feel chinng a lino?

I'm not keen on repeating other fans' questions, but two do strike me as interesting. I've slightly reworded them to try and fool you into thinking they are different. 1 Regarding your position at SRLFC, are you still as happy as you were on day 1, or is it beginning to feel like the labours of Hercules? 2 Can you not sort out communication? I can't work out why email contact with fans seems to be too difficult. Any chance of opening up channels this way? You would probably engage with a different demographic.

Small things and follow-through.
Let me explain a bit...
Currently and in the past the club has come up with decent ideas but they generally get left to fizzle-out, or lack any drive to make them succeed. A recent example of this is the paying and downloading of full matches. Brilliant idea. Very little cost for a great service and keeps the money trickling in. Every little helps. It has been left to fizzle out once again, which seems criminal in our most successful year for decades.
So my question for Ian would be, can we expect to see the club stick by an idea and see it through, rather than how it has operated so far?

Do you not think the club would be better off employing a social media presence? At the moment there many exasperated people who ask questions of a slightly more gritty nature online who either don't get a response or are blocked by the owner.
As CEO are you not happy with the significant crowd figure (%)increases this year? We would all like to see 20,000 streaming down to Barton, some of the criticism of the fans this year by yourself (and others in a position of authority) have been extremely negative and borderline disrespectful to your loyal fan base.
Is it your direct influence that has led to the club tieing down much of the playing squad to longer term deals? do you think your previous (assuming you had to give it up as there is a conflict on interest) job as player agent has made this as easier task?

I suspect Ian will see all these questions before Alan poses them as doubt he doesn't have a ghost profile on here.
I think it is very brave of him to front up for this so well done.
