Having seen Wigan's squad got an awful feeling in the pit of my stomach, they have the experience and quality all over the park. Nothing like the team we played at the DW more like the one we played at home. Can't see anything other than a Wigan win.

The one we played at home started like a house on fire, but we nilled them in the second half, so even allowing for what you say, we are not dead and buried just yet. We can do it. Come on, Salford!

Yes, it is now a confirmed departure as per totalrugby.com I'm sad that he has chosen the Fart Owners, but he is not one of ours now. Good luck Adam, long live Tyrone! Would you drop Lui or BMM if it was one of them? 'Drop' is not the right term here, as Walne is not a regular first team player like the other two you mention. Adam Walne is a young player breaking through into first team rugby in Super League, Salford offered him a new contract that he turned down and he decided to join another team - fair enough. But I don't see why he should be included in the 19 or final 17 for a Cup semi final, as he is no longer valuing the Salford 'Jersey' and we have other young break-through forwards like Murray, Lannon and Krasniqui that have shown their loyalty to the team and who should come first over Walne now, otherwise we risk team morale suffering. Also, I don't see any logic in giving Walne the benefit of possibly playing in and experiencing a semi-final, only for Huddersfield to reap the rewards in their future player gaining big-match experience. It's to our benefit that Murray, Lannon and Krasniqui will now gain that big-match experience. Beside's, all of this, he can't be match-fit as he's not played Super League for weeks and the other three I mention, have. All in all, Walne not in the 19 - I'm very happy with Watson's choice on this one . Cheers, Jimmy

After all this rain it should slow the Wigan team down. Good kicking essential on what should be a greasy pitch. Should make the game a bit more of a lottery and work in our favour.
Also they have a no of players returning from injury.
Anybody else got any straws to grab?

My son hasn't seen us lose all season, only home games he missed are those we lost. He'll be there Sunday. Straw?

For me we have to separate Sau and Vatuvei. No point in having a strong side as any team with an ounce of nous will target the 'weaker' flank, ie Welham and Johnson. If we can keep the Williams/Burgess combination quiet then we have a good chance. Also a key will be how match fit Farrell and Tomkins are.

Is that VV scoring the winning try or Wane with his usual, we woz robbed scowl talking go the tv pundits?

If it were for Wane and his persistently moaning there'd be thunder every other week.

Lui has been ruled out for tomorrow. Gaz at 6 then with Todd on the bench? Massive loss is Lui, although a 60-70% Lui would have been a massive gamble. Just seems like fate is conspiring against us with our key injuries and Wigan getting all their players back. We all know a full strength Wigan team oozes quality and from being quietly confident a month back I'm now at the point where I think people should be lumping on a Wigan win. As for Salford. I love this team and have nothing but respect for what they've given the fans with their passion, commitment and some bloody great rugby. I don't expect to win tomorrow but I just hope our fans give the players 80 minutes of passionate support and positivity and show their appreciation for the best season in my 28 years following the club. Come what may tomorrow is a special day for the club and if those 17 players put their lives on the line for the shirt then that's good enough for me.
